Chapter 16: The Big Apple

It was the first time Kayla visited New York. She was so excited that she couldn't sleep, so she continued unpacking her and Kelsiee's things. Kayla and Dominique were staying in a 4 star hotel in Manhattan. They were gonna visit their new apartment for school today. Dominique didn't wanna stay in dorms because it was too many rules involved and they both agreed to pay half of the rent for the apartment.

As for now, Dominique was resting with Julissa on her chest. Kelsiee began to worry because she didn't see Kayla in the bed with her. She glanced around the room until her eyes met her mother. Kayla glided on her bed making Kelsiee giggle.

"Good morning mommy." Kelsiee whispered as she place her index finger over her lip. "Shh. Domwinique and Lissa sleepy."

"Good morning beautiful." Kayla pinched her cheek softly. "I know. You hungry?"

"Hehe yesss." Kelsiee giggled.

Kayla picked Kelsiee up and treaded to the bathroom to wash her off. After she washed her off and put on a cute outfit, she turned on the television. She then instructed Kelsiee to watch television quietly while she took her shower. Kelsiee didn't like what was on the television and she didn't know how to turn it because it wasn't like the cable at Uncle Lenny's house.

She hopped off the bed searching through her Dora backpack to find her iPod. As she was trying to get back on the bed, Julissa wobbled over to help her. She got on the bed with Kelsiee and watched her play on her iPod as they giggled together.

20 minutes later, Kayla came out the bathroom with a casual outfit. She noticed Julissa playing with Kelsiee and she couldn't take Domi's daughter without her permission. Kayla didn't want to wake Dominique from her slumber, but Julissa seemed like she was hungry too. Kayla shoved her repetiously, yet softly until she woke up. As Dominique woke up slowly, she rubbed her eyes and finally placed her eyes on Kayla.

"Morning." Dominique rubbed her eyes once more.

"Morning, do you want to go to breakfast?" Kayla asked in a happy tone.

"Yeah. Let me go wash Julissa and myself up." Dominique lifted up in her bed.

"Okay."

As Dominique got her and Julissa necessities, Kayla sat on the bed with Kelsiee and moisturized her daughter's arms and legs. She then began tickling Kelsiee repeatedly causing her to giggle harder than anything. 30 minutes later, Dominique and Kayla headed out to Morning Star Cafe. It was one block away from where they were staying.

They walked into the cafe to see that there was only a handful of people eating breakfast. It wasn't a problem to the girls because it was too early for noises. The girls took a seat in a booth placing their daughter's right beside eachother. A waitress handed them menus and brought over two booster chairs for Kelsiee and Julissa. Kelsiee wanted to color, but the waitress didn't have coloring sheets because kids hardly came in the cafe. Kayla searched around in Kelsiee's bag and gave her her iPod as Julissa watched her play games. Dominique and Kayla began searching through the menu after their girls were settled.

"I think imma order a small pancake, eggs, and bacon for Kelsiee." Kayla kept her eyes in the menu. "And imma try a ham and bacon omelet for me."

"Those both sound really good. I wish Julissa liked pancakes." Dominique shook her head. "She's hooked on cereal and oatmeal."

"Really? Hmm...that's odd she doesn't like pancakes. Kelsiee loves them." Kayla smiled as she glanced over at Kelsiee.

"Hehe yesss they good Lissa." Kelsiee giggled.

"Yeah she's right. It's better than oatmeal and cereal." Dominique convinced her.

"Otay, mommy I trwy them." Julissa nodded.
