Emily POV
I went into my bedroom and changed into my favorite outfit for the summer. (above)
I heard a knock at the door to see Alec standing there I smiled.
"Hey",I said "thanks for staying there with me while I was out".
"You knew!"He said
"Yea, you were there when I woke up and it looked like you had not slept in days I only assumed.....but thanks Alec"I said hugging him before I pulled away I left a kiss on his cheek.
"Thanks again Alec" I said looking at my shoes (above).
Alec put his fingers under my chin making me look at him our faces on inches apart part of me wanted to close the gap and feel his lips on mine but what if he didn't feel the same and it would ruin our friendship.
"I would do it again in a heartbeat" he said.
He looked at my eyes then my lips,god I wanted to kiss him, I was leaning in when Jace yelled at me.
"Got to go doc, don't worry I won't get myself killed"I said patting his cheek.
He smirked I found Jace standing outside of a room in the hospital where the mundane was.
"Hey Jace has the mundane woke up yet" I said
"Yes she has Em and she not a mundane" he said opening the door to a redhead girl sitting on the bed.
"Hi , I'm clary fray" she said sticking out her hand I took it telling her my name "Emily starkweather " I said
She was only in one of Jace's t-shirts when I looked at her.
"Let's go get u something else to wear besides that" I said leading her to my room.
"You probably won't want to wear what Izzy has" I said taking out a pair of shorts and a blue shirt with white chevron on the back
"Yea" she said "I'm more of a jeans and t-shirt type of girl".
"I could tell" I said "theres curtain over there you can go to change into clary"
When she came out I heard her phone ring she started to talk to them she got upset and ended the phone call a she ran "clary" I called she wouldn't stop Jace caught up with her and then they went outside like come on I chased her don't I get to know what that about too well.
"Hey" I heard then I turned around to see no one " what the heck" I said under my breath then to strong hands grasped my sides.
Then my reflex kicked in and I elbowed the side grabber and spun around to see Alec laughing.
"Not cool Alec" I said with my arms crossed "how would you like it if I grabbed the back of your knee huh " since we were kids that was his ticklish spot.
I moved closer "huh Alec" I said reaching my hands out like when we were kids.
"I going to get you Alec" I said chasing him.
"Emily stop really I sorry" he said I was getting closer
"You're going to be " I said grabbing at the back of his knees he turned around to quick he tackled me to the ground.
"Ha who paid for it I think that I just won this"he said
Izzy came at the worst time when Alec had me pinned to the ground in front of the institute doors and of course Jace had to open the doors at the same time.
Oh my god!
Alec just got up and so did I .
"Guys it not what it looks like" I said
"Right right "Izzy said "Alec didn't have you pinned to the floor and we didn't see it ".
"Guys she had tried too"Alec began
"What kiss you" Izzy said
"No we were just messing around I promise ".
Jace was snickering "shut up" I said as I punched him
"Ow" he said still laughing and now Izzy was "okay" I said "lets get to the point nothing happened, now why is there a mundane In the institute"?
I nodded to the brown hair guy with glasses standing next to clary.
"Because a circle member followed him to get to clary" he paused looking at me " and you would know that if you went outside with clary instead of making out with Alec" he said smirking.
"NOTHING HAPPENED!" I yelled trying to attack him but Alec pulled me back.
Me and Alec would never live this down.
"Okay back to the point circle members are attacking and the best way to solve the problem is letting a mundane in the institute" I said
"I'm not having this conversation again come on clary lets go talk to Hoge and I know he would love to hear what his niece was caught doing" Jace said and now they all were laughing every one except me and Alec.
Jace was walking away when he stopped the mundane,"no mundane can enter the runes could kill you".
"I can take runes, the mundane said then paused and asked "what are runes"
I snickered "there what give shadowhuters there abilities" I said taking out my stele
and elbowed Izzy telling her to do the same so I didn't seem crazy.
We traced a rune on our forearm then we hear the mundane say " so hot" .
That earned a death glare form Alec a throat clear from Jace ,and smiles for me and Izzy.
" I'm Emily starkweather " I said
Izzy jumped in and introduced every one else "I am Izzy lightwood and that over there is my brother Alec, then I see you've meet Jace."
"I'm Simon Lewis, Lewis Simon" he said shaking our hands.
"Don't worry clary I will watch over your friend here while I make breakfast" she said .
"On second thought " Jace said " the runes may be less dangerous"
" I'll pretend like I didn't hear that" she said taking Simon hand.
