[A/N: Sorry for taking so long to update, I had summer homework that I hadn't done yet and I was banned from wattpad until I finished. But I'm back now, so here's the next chapter!]

Annabeth's POV

I watched Omicron pace nervously back and forth in front of us until I couldn't take it anymore.

"What's going on here? What's the Void Sword?"

He turned sharply to face me. We were all gathered around the ping-pong table in the Big House, with the Void Sword glowing eerily on the table.

"Where to begin..." he muttered to himself. "How about this. Chaos and Void were originally one entity, with the power to both create and destroy. But soon, because of their split purposes, they separated into the two beings existing today. They fought a huge battle over the universe, Void wanting to rule it, and Chaos wanting to watch it grow and flourish on its own. Chaos won, and to make sure it couldn't happen again, he took most of Void's power and exiled him to the Void. So now that I've told you that, what do you think the Void Sword is?"

I thought about it, processing all of the new information I had just received. I could tell that the Void Sword was powerful by the black mass that was in constant motion, trapped in the middle. Wait...no, it couldn't be that...

But I had no better guess. "You're saying that since power like that can't just be destroyed, and Chaos doesn't seem like the kind of person to keep it, that that's it? Right there? That much power, trapped in a sword?"

Somehow I could tell that that made him smile underneath his hood. "Bravo." He said, slowly clapping. "I knew you could figure it out. Yes, the Void Sword contains most of Void's power, the power that Chaos took from him. Simply touching the blade would kill almost anyone in this room instantly. A very minuscule fraction of the power could be used if Void gave his blessing to someone, such as the monster that used it to get into camp."

We all stared at the sword in awe, until I thought of something else. "But how could even Void's powers break the barrier?"

"Full of questions, as always. But I've never had the answers until now," he muttered, and I was pretty sure I wasn't supposed to hear that. I can only think of one person who would say that, but...no. It's not possible. I can't get my hopes up. "Void and Chaos are the most powerful beings in the universe, at least they were," he continued. "My power now surpasses Void's limited powers. But that's not important. Anyway, Void and Chaos powers can cancel out the gods' powers, even the Golden Fleece, so one monster, using the sword, could break the barrier and let the others through as well."

"So what are we supposed to do with it?" Thalia spoke up. "I mean, we have a crazy powerful sword that can kill people simply by a person touching it and no way to use the power anyway. Wait...is there a way to unleash that kind of power?" Everyone gave her a strange look while she just looked around innocently and shrugged. "What? I'm not saying we should use Void's power, I'm just wondering if there's any way our enemies can use it."

Omicron seemed slightly troubled as he considered how to answer her question. "No, there isn't. Chaos created it so that only Void and Chaos powers working together could unlock the power in the sword, so that if Void ever realized his mistakes, which he won't, they could get his powers back. Which means only one living being could ever unlock the sword."

"Who?" practically everyone in the room asked at the same time.

He paused for a moment, as if thinking if he should answer that or not. He slowly moved toward the ping-pong table, picked up the sword, and held it vertical in front of his face, as if studying it. He stared at it for a while, and I could see some of the soldiers lining the walls of the roomer getting worried [A/N: they can see under each others' hoods, in case you were wondering]. "Me."
