Your POV

"Morning, mom." I opened the fridge and searched for delicious food which I then failed at.

"Morning sweetie. How was uh... How was it at Lauren's house?" Lauren Jauregui.... My best friend since Kindergarten and now it's the second year of High School. But that my friends, is another story.

"It was fun. Did the basics. Listen to music, all that."

I grabbed a pop tart and sat on the island in the middle of the kitchen. My mom was making some pancakes. She knows I don't eat pancakes. I eat waffles. Well... I have no siblings so why so many pancakes?

"Who are the pancakes for? Oooh, is dad coming back?!"

She placed the last pancake on the plate and turned off the stove. She had her back turned to me as she walked to the sink. Then, she finally turned around.

"There's something I really need to tell you... Let's go to the living room..."

I followed my mom into the living room and sat across from her. She grabbed a photo album and set it on the table.

"Take a look at it..."

I took the album and opened it. I saw many memorable photos. Once I got to one that I've never remembered, I saw a small brunette smiling in the picture. She had short hair, tan skin, a dimple, and I'm guessing she had a bubbly personality.

I turned the pages even more and I found 4 old pages with writing on it.

"What's this?" I held the papers in my hand.

"She wrote songs. Read the lyrics."

La da da da dee, you're not breaking me

La de da da da da da da da, yeah

Somebody told me fame is a disease

You start singing the blues when you start seeing the green

But I think it's all about what you choose

The way you live your life, depends on you

That's when I realized I wanna make a difference

Change other people's lives, give hope, even for a moment

Use my name for good and change the game I could

Because to make it you think I gotta act a certain way,

Be a little bit insane, live a little, it's okay

I guess we have different definitions of living, but you'll twist my words anyway

You'll say that I'm naïve, like I don't have a past,

You're the one being deceived, I see right behind the mask

Tryna to stir me up and get me mad

I smile because happiness is all I have, so

La da da da dee, you're not breaking me

La de da da da, ain't got time for ya, singing

La da da da dee, you won't shatter me

La de da da da, got an unbreakable smile

You see me hanging with my fam, but that don't mean I'm living in a bubble

You'll find me at church, but that don't mean I can't cause trouble

Stir up a little scene 'cause isn't that what you want?

For me to mess up, so you can dress up some story

Saying, Tori this'll sell more records

But I'd rather make 'em yawn than be a pawn on your chessboard

So call me boring, call me cookie cutter

Call me what you want

A matter of fact

Just say it loud and don't st-stutter

'Cause I know who I am, yeah I'm still the same

Just a California girl with big dreams

Thinking maybe they'll let me sing songs about real things

And baby who knows maybe I can sell out shows without taking off my clothes

God made me sexy I don't care if only I know

La da da da dee, you're not breaking me

La de da da da, ain't got time for ya, singing

La da da da dee, you won't shatter me

La de da da da, got an unbreakable smile

Oh oh [2x]

And I'll just keep on singing.

La da da da dee, you're not breaking me

La de da da da, ain't got time for ya

La da da da dee, you won't shatter me

La de da da da, got an unbreakable smile

I might be smiling, yes

But don't mistake kindness for weakness

"Wow..." I placed the 4 pages down and continued looking through the pictures.

There was one picture that caught my eye. It was her looking at me in a cradle. She was smiling and touching my hand.

"Mom... Who is this?" I looked up at her.

"Your sister... Victoria." I smiled.

"I have a sister?! YeahhhH!!!..... But I don't understand... Where is she? How come I've never met her before?"

"Y/n... It's because when your father got the job in Florida, I didn't want you to leave your home town at such a young age. And Victoria wanted to keep your father company. She visits him everyday now." I looked back in the kitchen and stared at the pancakes.

"The pancakes are for Victoria... She's coming to visit us?!" My mom nodded very quickly.

"Now go put on something nice! She comes in 10 minutes."

7 minutes later...

I rand down this stairs wearing one of my favorite outfits. It was a gray sweater with #LOVE on it, paired with some turquoise pants. Since my hair was curled, I just put products in it and parted it to the left.

There was a knock at the door and I knew it was her. My sister. I finally get to meet her. My mom told me she was 23 years old. I opened the door and there she was.

"Y/n?" Victoria. She was 5'3ish, blonde, beautiful, had curly hair, and I looked a lot like her.

"Yeah." I smiled and she pulled me into a big hug.

"Oh my gosh, I'm gonna cry. I so good to see you! I haven't seen you since you were, like 3 months old. I'm just so happy right now!" She closed the door behind her and my mom popped out of the kitchen.

"Tori..."

"Mom!!" I watched her drop her luggage and run to our mom. They were crying with tears of joy and hugged.

"Oh, baby, it's been, too, long." Our mom lightly touched Victoria's cheek and smiled.

"You're so pretty." Victoria turned around and looked at me. She smiled and her dimple showed.

"Thanks. And you're beautiful. 16 years old... Wow you grew." I smiled and thanked her.

"Oooh! Tori! Let me show you our room!"

I grabbed Tori's hand and we ran upstairs to our room. I opened the door and let Tori walk in.

"Tadaa!!"

"This isn't our room..."

I looked up and thought she was just impressed, but realized we were in moms room.

"Right. Ours is next door."

We walked into our room and she seemed to like it more.

"It feels so at home."

"Oh, it's so good to have a sister."
