Bria's POV

We walked into the schoolyard towards our lockers, we all had the same class which was Biology, so we walked together to class. As we walked into class we saw Amber sucking the life out of another boy.

"She is such a hoe" I said to Kiara and Kevin, hoping she wouldn't hear me but of course she had to.

"Are you talking about me bitch?"

I was about to answer but Kiara beat me to it. "Yes she's talking about you, and don't you ever call my best friend a bitch because you're the only bitch right here, I could call you another name that suits you well, but then again I don't believe in slut-shaming"

Damn... Kiara must've been on her period or something because she was on fire

"Okay class settle down" our Bio teacher said

-After Class-

Finally the lunch bell rang, we went to lunch and sat together, a few of our other friends sat with us.

My phone rang, "Hello? oh hey mom"

Uggh I have to go home

"I gtg guys" I said. "And school isn't even over yet?" Kevin asked and I nodded. "Are you Okay Bri"? Kiara asked looking concern

"Yes" I lied but I could tell they knew I was lying

I told everyone bye, walked out of school and hopped into a cab.

My heart was beating so fast and loud.

The last time my parents told me to come home early from school, it was not pretty.

They beat me so hard, my eyes were bloody red from crying.

I could tell that I was pale so I decided to stop and purchase water from a store. I stopped the car, got out and walked slowly into the store. I realized I was trembling

Omg what is wrong with me

I almost reached the store when I came in contact with something hard or someone?

"I- I- I'm so sorry" I stuttered still trembling. "Are you blind, you almost knocked over my-" the stranger said but paused when he saw me trembling, his expression softened.

"Are you okay?" he asked

"Yes"

"Are you sure?"

Damn he's cute

I just ran off

I stopped another cab quickly and we drove off...

Few minutes after, driving up into the parking spot, still nervous I got out of the car and opened the door for my house.

"WHERE WERE YOU!!??" my mom yelled. "School?" I said but it sounded more like a question

"What took you so long" she asked

"I stopped to buy a bottle of water"

"So where is it?"

"I changed my mind when I arrived at the store so I turned back"

"I don't believe you" she said

Well you better cause its true

I just sighed.. "Don't you sigh at me young lady" she said

"So why did I have to leave school early today?" I asked trying to change the subject

"Because I was at work today when your father called me and told me that you didn't take the trash out, what is wrong with you Bria"? she says
