Chapter 3

Bria's POV

"Why would they do this?" he asked

"Well...'' I started playing with my hair nervously

He must've noticed because his hard expression softened a bit.

"It all started when I was 14, I had a big sister named Bambi, she was 1 year older than I was, we looked almost exactly the same so we acted like twins, she was like my best friend but my parents loved her more, of course it was obvious because everything they got her, they would get me an older or uglier version of but I didn't care, as long as my sister was happy I was. One day she and her boyfriend Alex got into a big fight, she really loved him but all he cared about was sex. Then day he forced her to do it, she didn't want to but he still tried to persuade her, eventually he got fed up and said that if she didn't have sex with him, he would leave her. Bambi really loved him so of course she said yes. That same day she came to me and told me about it, I was not in a very good mood because of this and so I told her to do whatever she wants and to just leave me alone....

She did not take that well, so she just ran off angrily. I overheard her going to Alex and telling him that she changed her mind, Alex was furious and he slapped her hard across her face, she was in tears and ran off. I of course went and pushed Alex and starting cursing him out while beating him at the same time, My best friend Kevin came in and held me back. I dashed after Bambi but I didn't know where she went, I went home and looked for her there but she wasn't, I didn't know where else to go so I started ringing some of her friends and asking if they saw her or anything, they said no so I started walking, didn't know where I was going but I needed to find my sister....

Few minutes after my phone rang, it was mom. I answered it and she sounded pissed, she told me to come home right away, when I did I saw Alex standing there with a smirk on his face and my parents, at first I was confused at what was happening but after a few minutes of explaining I understood, my sister had hung herself, Alex came to my home and told my parents that I made Alex and my sister break up because I was asking him for sex, however he told them that he refused and that Bambi found out about it and was upset so I went to fight her and so she hung herself, at first I was so shocked all I could do was cry but then I started cursing. I was so upset, I lost my sister, my own blood and then her ex boyfriend tried to blame it all on me like I was the one who made her kill herself.....

Like what kind of logic is this?

I then tried telling my parents what really happened but they didn't want to hear anything I had to say, they sent Alex home saying that they were going to deal with me, Alex looked satisfied and walked out. Then after he left my parents started shouting at me that I killed my sister and I should just go with her and die, they said they didn't love me anymore and I'm just a whore who steals her sister's boyfriend. However I was too sad to say anything....

They promised that I would never be happy again, they even forbid me from going to her funeral, and ever since then I got beatings for the stupidest and simplest things. But I knew my parents didn't like me from the start... So I guess that's it" I said

"Wow" he said sounding sad. "I cant believe that Alex guy really did that"

"I know right" I said. "I'm sorry" he said "So sorry, I can't believe they'd do that to you...... but now that's all gonna stop" he said angrily

"Stop, how? I asked curiously. " You're gonna live with me now" he said simply

"What do you mean, are you crazy?" I shouted. "Sometimes, but I'm serious I can't let them continue to hurt you like that.''
