"You have cancer?" I said my voice now breaking up
"Yeah, please don't leave me Brii. I can't lose you, not now." he said
My eyes filled with tears
"I would never leave you James, you are everything to me, my whole world, inside and out. I couldn't live without you if i tried and we have the rest of our lives ahead of us, not even cancer can stop us'' I said encouraging him
"You're right, its a good thing we caught it early, we can beat it."
"Also Bria, that's why I was at the doctor's office everyday and that day on the phone, my doctor called for me to come in for my results'' he added
"But why didn't you tell me?" I asked
"I didn't know how you'd respond, I'm sorry, I won't hide anything from you again. I promise."
"Good, cause I have a confession too"
And I told him how I thought I was pregnant and bought three pregnancy tests instead of one and he actually laughed.
