Annalise's past if the poor thing could remember was not a good one. Years of war would haunt her dreams, wars she shouldn't be able to know anything about let alone remember almost everything about it, down to the smallest detail. Perhaps it would be better that she didn't regain her memories? Then against aren't your memories a clue to who you really are? Annalise didn't have to worry about that right now though. She was fast asleep in the guest room at the Cullen house. Carlisle at her side the whole time. No matter how much the others of the Cullen household told him to rest or even eat he just couldn't instead he would just stare at Annalise wondering what secrets were hidden in her head.

Carlisle couldn't help but watch her as she slept, Annalise looked so peaceful and content in her dreams now. He could still remember the reports that a few of the nurses gave to him about Annalise and her nightmares. Though Annalise herself had never said anything about them the nurses could hear her call out in her sleep. He didn't know how to bring up the topic to her or if he even wanted to ask her at all. Maybe there is a reason that her mind deleted her past.

"She looks peaceful." Alice says as she walks inside Annalise's room and sits down at the bench before the bed. "Do you think she will ever remember?"

"I'm not sure Alice, I would have thought she would have regained at least a few memories but she still has nothing that she has remembered." Carlisle tells Alice as he looks down at Annalise.

"She is interesting though, after all even Jasper said it takes a strong...whatever she is to take down a new born alone. I think she's misunderstood, a lot like our species. Still maybe it's better if she doesn't remember her past and just write a new one, with us." Alice says trying to comfort him and he nods at her showing her a smile.

If she did write a new history with them that means he would have to tell her what they really were. Vampires. Who in their right mind that was mortal would want to stay in a house full of vampires? Even if he did explain to her that they only drank animal blood would Annalise run away from the house disgusted? That was one thing he wasn't sure he wanted to risk. Annalise was in a delicate state right now and he was afraid that too much pressure on her might do more damage than good.

"I see a great future before her. As much as I would love to tell you as well I can't." Alice says with a mischievous smile as she turns and walks out the door.

Looking back to Annalise, Carlisle couldn't help but look at her in more detail now. Annalise had long red hair but in the sunlight it looked lighter. Her skin was pale but not as pale as his own obviously. Freckles were scattered throughout her face and her arms, what he could see of her arms that is. He ever remembered her eye color, emerald green. She was able to take his attention at anytime and she barely had to lift a finger.

"mmhm." Annalise started to stir as she brought her left hand to her face and blocked the light from her eyes. "Oh what's going on?"

"Nothing to worry about. You needed more rest and your body decided to help you out." Carlisle told her and Annalise looked at him for a moment and then seemed to accept what he said. "How are you feeling now?"

"Still tired honestly, I also well never mind I don't want to bother you with it." Annalise says as she sits up trying to adjust herself in bed.

"It's not bother at all, go ahead and tell me." Carlisle insisted hoping this would install more trust.

"I keep having these strange dreams, well I guess they are more like nightmares. I can feel fear but when I wake up the dreams just disappear." Annalise confesses to what seems to be her only friend in the world.

She can sense the fears in her sleep but when she wakes up she forgets all about the dream. How frustrating that must be. Carlisle listened as Annalise explained her feelings about her dreams but couldn't give much more detail than that. Nodding and accepting all that she had to say Carlisle tried his best to make her feel comfortable and be able to trust him.

"Other then that, well I guess I am a bit hungry." Annalise said looking bashful.

"I imagine so, come we can go downstairs and get you some food." Carlisle told her fully knowing that Rosalie and Alice had went and stocked their home with food to make it appear normal to Annalise.

Smiling Annalise stood from her bed and followed Carlisle out of her room, down the stairs and into the kitchen. It was a beautiful kitchen, nice and big. Who wouldn't like this place? It feel like something out of the movies. Sitting down on a bar stool Annalise watched as Carlisle went to the cabinets and began to call out food they had that she could eat.

"Anything like cereal sound good? We have...almost every kind there is apparently." Carlisle said as he was shocked to see Alice and Rosalie went a bit overboard on the food detail.

"Yeah, Frosted Flakes is fine with me." Annalise answered with a smile as Carlisle took out the cereal and bowl and then went to the fridge. "All the kids at school?"

"Yes, they should be home sometime after three." he replied getting the milk out and bringing everything to Annalise.

Annalise smiled and poured her own cereal and milk. Not that she didn't like being waited on hand and foot but she didn't want him to do everything for her. She was able to do anything just like he could and she didn't want to feel like she owed him more than she already did. One thing Carlisle did forget though, a spoon.

"Do you happen to have a spoon I could use?" Annalise asked and Carlisle looked like he had made the biggest mistake in the world.

Quickly he grabbed and spoon and handed it to Annalise, she giggled a little as she took it and began to eat. It did strike her odd that Carlisle didn't eat but she figured he probably ate earlier and then thought nothing of it. They made small chit chat over cereal but something told Annalise that Carlisle was holding back some important questions from her. Not that she had anything to hide from him.
