Chapter 8: Bestfriend To The Rescue

"Ano na naman ang ginawa ko?!" Di ko na napigilan. Ex niya si Troy? So? We're just friends.

Basang-basa na ako ng strawberry juice. And the students are staring at us. I never wanted any of this to happen. I just want my normal life back. I just felt my tears streaming down my face.

"Di mo ba maintindihan?! Ex. Ko. Si. Troy!"

She was shouting so bad. Kung kanina maraming students ang nakatingin sa 'min, but now? I think lahat na ng tao dito sa canteen. Sumusobra na siya.

I was going to slap her. When someone grabbed my hand.

"It's not gonna be enough."

Kinuha niya 'yung coffee na iniinom ng babae. The coffee was hot but not that hot. Then ibinuhos niya kay Stella.

"WHAT THE?!" -Stella

He grabbed my hands and together we ran...

"Where are we heading? May classes pa tayo after lunch." I reminded him.

"Somewhere safe." He gave me his sweet smile. "Stop crying Rish, di bagay sa'yo."

At least he made me laugh with his corny joke. Alam ko naman di 'yan totoo e. Or is it? :(

We went out the gate. Yung guard ay nagtangkang harangin kami. But when he saw Troy. Walang nagawa.

We went to a mall at pumasok sa isang restaurant. Mamahaling restaurant. Para lang maglunch? Restaurant agad?! Walang masyadong tao dito. Mahal siguro dito eh. Hindi na rin ako nagreklamo. 'Coz honestly? I'm starving.

"Why didn't you tell me na ex mo si Stella?" I asked.

"Should it matter?" He said.

"Yep. I thought we were like best friends?"

"Okay. Fine. She was my first."

Weh? First? You've gotta be kidding me! Seriously

"First? As in first?"

"Yeah. She was my first gf. I thought she loved me 'coz she was like so obsessed. But it was just an act. She did that for fame. When I found out, she denied it but I knew better."

"Minahal mo talaga siya?"

"Of course I did. But I don't know if I will. I can forgive her though. After we broke up, every girl who would come near me?"

The food has been served. Kaya kumain nalang ako wihihihi.

"Pagkain lang pala."

"What?" Habang kumakain ako.

"Nothing. Continue what you're doing." Then he laughed.

Oh my. May classes pa pala kami. Kaya mas nagmadali pa akong kumain. Geez. I almost forgot.

"Careful." He said while laughing.

"Careful ka dyan! May classes pa tayo. Tinakas mo ako. Kaya ayun nakalimutan ko na."

While I was eating, may dumating na lalakeng naka black suit. Parang 'men in black' lang? Tapos umalis sila. After I ate, dumating na ang bill... I wonder how much hihihi. At after 1-2 minutes dumating na yung man in black 'man' kasi isa lang siya. May maliit na paper bag siyang ibinigay kay Troy. Then Troy gave it to me.

"Ano to?" I said curiosly.

"Wear that."

I just followed his instruction. I went in the CR. And I saw a white cute t-shirt, by means of cute? Cute talaga ha! And a skirt. Skirt like our uniform. Color, shades, as in pareho. And even size ko. How did he know my size? I just wore it nalang.

Nung papalabas na ako, I sat beside him. He was texting someone, I guess?

"Yabang! How'd you know my size?"

He look at me. Then he stared in my eyes. I did the same thing too. His brown eyes. Gosssshh! Ang ganda!

"Secret. We have to go."

"Where?"

"School. They started rehearsing 45 minutes ago." He said with his serious face on.

I just followed him. Ang bilis pala niyang maglakad kaya I almost lost him. And this time? He was holding my hand. Here we go again? Burning cheeks. Buti nalang hindi siya nakatingin sa akin. Ang mga tao sa paligid namin? Of course nakatingin sa kanya! Ang iba nga parang nakakita ng artista! Priceleas faces! Yeah! Parang gusto kong isigaw, This handsome guy over here is my bestfriend!!! Whooo! Hahaha! Habang sila they're like drooling. Habang ako? Well he's just holding my hand hahah. ^o^

Nasa labas na kami ng mall and there was this big 'i-dunno' car again. He opened the door for me. Pumasok ako. Ang gentleman! I saw the man in black again, siya ang nagdadrive o siya ba yung kanina? Ewan!

Buti nalang may bestfriend akong ganito.

When we arrived at school. Syempre walang mga estudyante. Class hours. We're heading for the music room.

"Sa'n kayo galing?" Sabi nung moreno.

"Rish, okay ka lang?" Tanong sa 'kin ni Camille. I just nodded.

"Settle down everyone." Mahinahong sabi ni Ms. Schmidt.

Umupo naman kaming lahat.

"Now, Where have you been?" -Ms. Schmidt

Troy explained everything about what happened earlier sa canteen, to where he had taken me, and etc... They were so worried. Kahit papaano nakaka good vibes. Knowing na may mga tao pa palang nandyan para sa'yo. Yung moreno pala ay si Clint, yung medyo mataas naman ang buhok ay si John at yung cute naman na maputi ay si James. Si John sa drums, Clint sa electric guitar, si James sa other guitar, Camille for the organ, me and Troy lead vocals. New friends. New band. We're perfect. Let's get this started.
