Chapter 8 -Moving On

Two Years Later

Cam rode his horse Joey to where he was told that there was trouble and his group needed back up.

Cam held his bow and aimed a shot a guys leg who was outside the gates, he took the shot and the man fell over,
"Stop this at once!" Cam shouted, the man looked up at Cam and Cam could tell that the man was scared,
"Ok I'll leave I promise" the man begged,
"Are you part of Jordan's group?" Cam asked,
"Yes, but I don't want any trouble" the man replied,
"Well you've caused some so now you're coming with us" Cam said, "take him back and lock him up" cam ordered one of his men, Clara came out of Olympus and confronted Cam,
"You could have came quicker"Clara said, Cam's face did not look amused,
"We wouldn't have been her at all if I didn't tell my men to keep any eye out when they go passed here" Cam told her,
"We need protection Cam" Clara said,
"No" Cam told her and he began to ride away,
"Your family are in here" Clara said,
"What the family that chose this shitty place before the person who has protected them since the beginning?" Cam asked,
"The family who miss you, Lizzie sits and waits by the gates all day for you to return" Clara replied,
"I'm not allowed to return, and it's about time you should know that I only killed one of the men and you still have the another killer in those walls" Cam told her,
"That's in the past now" Clara said,
"Right I'll make a deal, we'll give you twenty four hour protection for half of the supplies" Cam offered,
"Be careful Cam you're beginning to sound like Jordan" Clara told him,
"Just remember that we're protecting you from Jordan, and also i'm making a perfectly reasonable deal here" Cam told her,
"Right fine, quarter of our supplies each run" Clara said,
"A third" Cam told her,
"Deal, I want men here now" Clara ordered,
"When we're ready" Cam said and he rode away.

Clara entered Olympus and Daisy ran up to her,
"Did you see him" she asked,
"I did, but he's not the same person" Clara replied,
"What do you mean?" Daisy asked,
"He's matured, he's the leader of The Soulless and he has the upper hand over us and Jordan's group" Clara told her,
"He won't do anything to hurt us" Daisy said,
"I've made a deal that he will protect us for supplies" Clara said.

When Cam got back he arrived with some devastating news,
"I'm so sorry, John has passed away" one of his men told him, Cam froze and then walked inside to John, when he was in he saw John lying on on his bed with blood down his face,
"He's been gone a while, we thought we should before he turns" a man said,
"Thank you, if it's possible I would like a burial for him" Cam told him.

Cam entered the food room which is the first room he had entered when he joined The Soulless, everyone went silent as he shut the door behind him,
"I'm sorry to tell everyone but John has sadly passed on, however his knowledge and wisdom carries on in all of us, he's taught me so much in the past two years and what I do know is that we need to attack Jordan's group before he attacks us, we've got to have the upper hand" Cam told them, "the man we've got is not to be hurt, you'll know that but we will try to get information out of him, we just need to be smart" Cam said, "I have also negotiated with Olympus, they will give us supplies as long as we give them full protection" Cam told everyone,
"We know it's dangerous but we all will fight for peace Cam" one of the men said ,
