Chapter 11 - Love

Once Cam had made a fire he got his men to work and they began shooting arrows over the walls,
"This could actually work" Cam said, he climbed up a wall and looked over to see the walkers drowning in the fire, Cam then climbed down and went inside the house again and standing in front of him was Daisy,
"It's been a while" Daisy told him,
"Yeah" Cam said,
"Anything to say?" Daisy asked,
"It's best that both of us don't say anything and I have nothing to say to you" Cam replied,
"You're different Cam" Daisy told him,
"Two years I have worked on forgetting you, do you have any idea how hard that was for me, it was for the best but I couldn't forget Lizzie, it wasn't her that  chose to chuck me out on the road" Cam said,
"I didn't choose either Cam" Daisy told him,
"But you didn't speak out about what really happened did you?" Cam asked,
"No, but I regret that" Daisy said,
"And Clara still believes that I killed two of her people" Cam told her,
"If I tell her the truth then I will be kicked out and quite possibly Kelsie as well" Daisy told him,
"You haven't changed" Cam said as he laughed and then walked away.

That night Cam went outside to see how his men were doing,
"Are they all dead?" Cam asked,
"None of them will die, but it has stopped them from moving and most of them have actually crumbled apart" one of his men explained,
"We'll go outside the walls and finish them off now Kieran" Cam told Kieran,
"Ok sir" Kieran replied.

Cam opened the gates and began killing the remains of the walkers with his men, it took another hour before all the walkers were finished.

Once they had all been killed Cam went inside to make sure Hades' men were leaving,
"Get your men out now" Cam told Jordan,
"I quite like it here" Jordan said,
"Leave before I get my men on you all and trust men there won't be a single one of you alive" Cam threatened,
"Okay fine we're going, but we'll be back" Jordan warned him.

Hades men had left and Lizzie had packed her bag to leave with Cam,
"I want to take her with me" Cam told Clara,
"She safe here Cam" Clara said,
"I woke up everyday worrying about her, whether she'll be safe or not, dead or alive, I'm not going to go through that again" Cam explained,
"Okay Cam, you can take her, keep her safe" Clara told him,
"Thank you" Cam said.

"Well looks like you're coming with me then" Cam told Lizzie,
"Really?" Lizzie asked,
"Yes but it's your choice, I'm not going to force you out of here" Cam replied,
"I want to come with you and survive outside of the walls, like you said before, we're a team and now that I'm older and I can sort of look after you as well" Lizzie said in delight,
"Ok" Cam said as he looked down at her with a huge smile.

"You know I haven't seen a smile on that mans face until now" Kieran told Daisy as everyone was getting ready to leave,
"It's rare, trust me, give it another two years and you might just squeeze another one out of him" Daisy told him as a tear slowly dripped down her eye,
"Are you two close?" Kieran asked,
"I love him and he loved me" Daisy replied,
"I'm sorry to hear that miss, I hope that one day he opens his eyes and sees what he's lost" Kieran told her, he put his hand on her shoulder and he then walked away and out the gates where the rest of The Soulless were heading...
