"What about this store Audrey?!" Leslie basically just yelled in my ear, causing everyone to stare.

"Would you like to lower your voice a little you Howler monkey. Sheesh."

She looked at me apologetically,"I'm sorry it's just this is like your first time ever wearing a dress. We NEED to find the right one. I couldn't strain that enough."

"Why should I care if its the "right" dress?"

"Um hello? Your mate could be at this party! Don't you want to look perfect?!" This middle aged human gave us a funny look."I'm sorry did I say mate?Silly me I meant husband. I'm crazy and we'll have like 20 kids. I know he'll be the "one". Ill know just by looking at him hahahaha 0.0". The man quickly ran past us, clearly trying to get away from Leslie."we'll that went smoothly, that guy is probably already calling the insane asylum."

"Well you didn't have to go all psycho trying not to blow our secret."

"I didn't really think before I started talking."she threw her hands up in exasperation.

"Yeah, you seem to do that a lot don't you Leslie?"

"Oh HAHA." She rolled her eyes at me and crossed her arms over her chest, "You're so funny. Now shut up and answer my damn question."

"Leslie, you know I don't really want my mate right now."

"I just don't understand why you're so against it?"

I sighed pretty loudly, glaring at her, "we've been over this so much. I'd have to move with him and leave you and my family and I just don't want to do that."

"It's not like you'd never see us again Audrey!"

"I know but I have been so conflicted with the topic lately." We turned a corner heading towards the food court. We found an empty booth and I set mine and hers shopping bags into the seat. "What if my mates cruel or something?"

"I honestly don't see that happening Audrey."

"It's still a major what-if!"

"You just need to stop thinking so negatively. I can promise you it'll all be for the best."

I reached across the table, grabbing her hand, "Maybe you're right. I guess I'll know for sure in about 2 days." I smiled and she smiled right back.

"Yeah, you'll see."

Ha! that's what she thinks. I'm not about to give up my life with my family and friends, as long as agreeing with her got her of the subject for now. I hate pretending with her but I really need to not lie to myself to make me feel better about possibly giving up everything in a few days.
