CHAPTER-10

Nandini goes to the professor's cabin and says- Sir I would like to withdraw my name from the dance competition as I am not good at it.

Professor- No no Nandini you can't say that. You have to participate in it.

It's a matter of prestige for our college and we cannot afford to be lenient in the selection. You guys have to participate in the competition.
And about dancing, who is your partner.

Nandini- Manik.

Professor called a peon to summon Manik.

After sometime Manik enters the Professor's cabin.

Professor- Ah... Here he is.

Nandini turns and looks at Manik.

Manik- Yes sir you have called me. Is there anything important.

Professor- Yes Manik. Come have a seat.

Manik came and took the chair beside Nandini.

Professor-As you know that Nandini is your dance partner for the competition.

Manik looked at Nandini and said- Of course sir.

Professor- She wants to withdraw her name from the competition. She says that she is not good at dance.

Nandini looked at Manik who was staring at her. She immediately looked away.

Professor(continued)-So Manik you have to help her out in this. And I want the best performance to be of you both. No excuses.

Nandini- But sir.....

Professor- No ifs and buts. You are performing and that is final.

Nandini- OK sir.(She looked dejected)

Manik was continuously smirking seeing Nandini's state.

Manik to professor- Don't worry sir I will handle the matter.

Professor- Good. I expected it from you. OK now make a move . you don't have enough time for prepations.

Manik and Nandini in unison- OK sir.

Then they left the cabin.

Nandini was going to the library when Manik called her from back- Nandini ek minute ruko.

Nandini stopped hearing him.

Manik came to her and said-

Manik- So Miss Nandini doesn't know how to dance.

Nandini lowered her head and didn't say anything.

Manik- Don't worry. You don't have to be embarrassed. I will teach you .

Nandini looked at him and smiled weakly.

Manik- So when do we start our practice.

Nandini- Whenever you say.

Manik- Hmm.... Let me think....

He thought for a while and said-

I think we should start from tomorrow....

Nandini- OK.

And she nodded.

Manik- OK then will see you tomorrow. Bye then.

Nandini- Bye.

With this Nandini left from there.

Manik smiled seeing Nandini's cuteness and said to himself- It will be too much fun.

His thoughts were broken by a tap on his shoulder.

He turned and saw his friends .

Viren- Yaar Manik baki sab to samajme aagaya but ek baat samajh me nahi ayi.

Manik- And what is it?

Viren- Is it coincidence or any of your tricks that you got Nandini's name in your chit.

Manik smirked on hearing this.

Manik- It is the magic of Manik Malhotra.
Mai Jo chahu wo kar sakta hu.

Jay- Ha ha. Very funny. Bata na yaar kaise kiya.

Manik- Kuch baatein secret rahe to hi Acha hai.
