Yes, I am aware that the butterfly isn't a gemstone in the picture, just pretend it is, okay?

Bruce's POV

"Why, exactly, am I the only one in detention? The others helped too!" I questioned, and Rana looked up from her work. She was annoyed, you could tell.

"I know from experience that having you in detention with other people is a bad idea. The other guys will be punished sometime in the next few days."

"And the girls?"

"The girls will get a lecture about keeping quiet at one in the morning. And not destroying the school."

Un. Believable. "Hey!! Why do the girls only get a lecture, but I get an eight hour detention?! They were the ones attacking us, why don't they get a larger punishment?!"

"The girls were only doing what any sane person would do in that situation. And you should be grateful! If you weren't needed at this school, you would be expelled! Now be quiet, or you'll get an even longer time in here." The hologram turned back to her work, leaving me sitting in silence.

This is not fair.

Lanny's POV

"You'll be fine. You sprained your ankle a little, but it's very minor. I wouldn't walk on it though."

"Bah. I can walk on it fine, I got to the infirmary safe, didn't I?" Aria denied, despite me being the expert in this sort of stuff. But I really didn't feel like arguing with her, so I just went along.

I sighed, "Fine. Just don't strain yourself, okay?"

She nodded, and got up to leave, but I stopped her, "Aria, wait."

She turned around and looked at me, "Hm?"

"Uh...you remember the time when we were playing grounders back in Kanalis 6 years ago?" I started to sweat. Back when we were around 6 and 7 years old, Aria got this necklace with fake diamonds on it. She wore that necklace everywhere, and she wouldn't let anyone touch it. One day, she lost the necklace in the park while. We were playing grounders. She was devastated. She was crying, and me, being the bestest friend in the world, comforted her by hugging her and even promised, that one day I would buy her a necklace with real diamonds. Now, I've finally saved up enough money to fulfil my promise.

"Yeah...? That was the time I lost the my favourite necklace," her face saddened at the thought.

"It was also when I promised to buy you a new one..." I say looking down to hide my faint blush.

"I remember...you promised me every year until we got to this school."

"Aria I-"

"DO YOU WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMAN????????" Bruce ran past, Blaze chasing after him, her fist alit with fiery red flames.

"YOU'RE DEAD GRALU SHIPPER!!!" She skidded to a halt, right outside the door, looking at us, "Aww! You two are so cute!"

Aria turned and glared at her, and she turned back to the hallway, "I...uh...have to go feed...my...cat...he enjoys eating HUGE FREAKING DUMBASSES LIKE BRUCE!!!" She ran off.

Well, like I was saying before I was rudely interrupted by the new hit cover song from Bruce, "Aria, I know you're strong, and I know you've gotten over it, but I never go back on a promise, not to the people I care about. I've been saving up for a few months now, and I've finally saved up enough to buy it. It took me a while to find one that I thought suited you, and then to save up, but it was worth it, knowing I was able to fulfil the promise I made as a kid. So, I want you to have this." I pulled out the gift I had gotten her. It was a heart shaped locket, with an engraved flower and pink diamond butterfly on it. I had put it in a box, and wrapped it in a pale pink paper and tied it with white ribbon.

"Aww, Lanny, that's so sweet of you..." We were both blushing. She opened the box, and held the necklace up, so it shine in the sunlight, "It's beautiful..." Her voice was a whisper.

"Here." I said, awkwardly, as I helped her put the locket on.

"Is this what you spent all your points on?" I nodded, "You didn't have to do that for me..."

"No, but I wanted to. I like seeing you happy." I smiled at her, ignoring my tomato-face.

"Stop, you're making me blush." She wrapped her arms around me, smiling, "You're the best, I mean it. You mean the world and more to me, and if I ever try to tell you any differently, slap me in the face and tell me to stop lying, okay?"

"I will. Promise."

"Arigatou." She smiled even more, and left the room, leaving me standing there, slightly in awe. (Thank you)

That smile.

I live for that smile.

There's nothing I wouldn't do for that smile.

"Douita shi ma shi te..." (You're welcome) I whispered to the empty room, "...Ai shi teimasu." (I love you)

A/N-- the hardest part was getting through this chapter without blushing. (I failed in that part)

Konnichiwa, Minna-San! Ninja, here, bringing you very important news that Dixie-Sama is the one responsible for forcing me to write until I finished.

Dammit Dixie, why you do dis?

Also, I used a translator app for this chapter, rather than google translate, so I'm just going to hope that it's more reliable...

Anyways, I've got like, three more chapters to write, so I'm gonna go now, Capiche? Bye.
