I can already tell, this chapter's going to be very eventful, and the author's note is going to be as long as the entire soundtrack for The Gray Garden.

Aria's POV

I woke up to an unfamiliar room and Lanny's arm around my waist...

Wait what?!!

I looked up to see Lanny's face. Oh right, we stayed up late last night working out the last details of the dance together. We must have fallen asleep in his room. I look around to find his alarm clock blinking.

(I'm just going to ignore the fact that I'm sleeping with him)

1:30 pm

"HOLY CRAP!!! I ONLY HAVE ONE AND A HALF HOURS TO GET MYSELF READY AND SET UP THE LAST DECORATIONS IN THE GYM FOR THE DANCE!!!"

"Just come back to bed..." My sleeping friend mumbled to me. What can I say, he's even less of a morning person than me. Not that it's morning anymore, but still.

"Wake up." I said, shaking his shoulder gently.

"Mmm...I don't wanna."

"Do it anyway."

"Why?" He asked, eyes still closed, "It's so comfy here, and we're going to be separated if we get up."

"Because I have to finish decorating for the dance, not to mention get myself ready, and you have to go rehearse. You're performing, remember?"

He sighed, and sat up, "I guess you're right. But that doesn't change the fact that I'm going to have to go back stage and you're going to be...somewhere else."

"I'm going to be in the gym, helping set up decorations and get the concession stand set up. I also have to go upstairs to get the lights set up, but mostly, I'll be in practically the same room." I smiled.

"Well...I guess...but still. I'm lonely without you."

I could feel my face heat up, but I ignored it. Despite what you may think, Lanny is actually really shy when it comes to people who aren't his close friends. One of the main reasons he and I get along so well. Quite often, I'm the one talking for him, "You'll be fine, it's a promise. And if you need me, I'm just a text away." I assured.

"Fine. But if we're going to be ready by the time the dance starts, we should get going."

"Right. Yeah." I agreed, standing up, and picking up my notebook and dance checklist, "I'm heading over to the main school gym."

-----Later On-----

I looked around as I heading down the path back to the dormitory. Decorating had taken a lot longer than I expected, but in my defence, some hooligan decided to rip down some of the ribbons that I spent actual time and effort putting up. So yeah, without knowing who did it, I had no choice but to just put them back up, and move on. That left me with only around 45 minutes. I ran as fast as I could to Blaze's room to get ready.

Once I barged in without knocking, everyone turned to look at me.

"Hi Aria~..." Blaze smirked.
