All I could hear was my own frantic breaths and those of whatever was chasing me. You just had to screw up again, didn't you y/n? You just had to provoke a 8-foot monster! I knew soon enough that something would happen to prevent me from running any further. And wadda know? I was right. My (e/c) eyes widened as I stopped right at the edge of a cliff and peered down through thick fog,weighing all my options. My (h/l h/c) swirled around my face .I heard branches cracking and whipped my head around. The monster growled and inched closer to me as backed up towards the edge. Cliche, I thought. Just as I was considering a really desperate option I woke up, looked around the room and laughed in relief. It was all in my head.
