This started out going to be all angsty and cold and stuff, then turned into fluff, then I don't even know what. This seriously got away from me. I'm sorry if it makes little to no sense. Enjoy either way, let me know what you think in the comments. Xxx

"... And caverns old... We must away, ere break of day... To find our long forgotten gold..."

"And just how do you know that song?"

Zephira jumped and spun to face whoever spoke.

It was Thorin.

"Oh. It's you." She said, her lip curling up slightly.

"Yes, it's me." He said with a roll of his eyes. "But how do you know that song."

She shrugged. "I just always have."

"I don't believe you."

She sighed. "You aren't going to drop this, are you?"

"No,"

"Fine." She spun back around to face the bar.

The were in a tavern in Bree, spending the night. The next morning their journey would begin, with or without the hobbit.

"My mother used to sing it to me."

"She did?"

"Yes. Do you believe me?"

"No,"

"Well, you should." She snapped. "Now leave me alone."

Thorin made a face and spun on his heel, walking back to his table.

"Dwarves," she muttered, and took another sip of her ale.

"Why hello there, love."

She made a face and turned to her right. "Do I know you?" She asked the man.

"No, but I'm sure interested in getting to know /you/."

She made another face. "No /thank/ you." She put money down on the bar and hopped off her stool.

She walked down to her room, feeling the mans eyes on her.

She turned a corner, and then the next thing she knew, she was slammed against the wall.

"Oi!" She yelled, but a hand covered her mouth. "Mmph!"

"Shh," it was the man from the bar. "Be quiet. This'll be over soon enough."

He grabbed her and hauled her into an empty room, throwing her to the floor.

"Ah!" She cried as she hit the floor.

He grabbed her and hoisted her up.

She cried out as his hand clenched around her right arm tightly. She still bore the scar from that horrible battle, and it was terribly sensitive.

"You're with a lot of dwarves, girl." He hissed. "What use do they have for you aside from their own little whore?"

She gave a pained laugh. "You'd be surprised."

His grip tightened and she cried out again.

"Which way'd he take her?"

"This way?"

"I don't know, that's why I asked you!"

Nori shot Dwalin a look. "Then lets go this way!"

The hurried down the halls.

They heard a cry of pain from behind a closed door.

"There!" Dwalin said and started to run.

They got to the door and Nori tried the handle.
