Chris texted me last night. He said he wasn't gonna pick me up this morning to go to school. I, of course, didn't care. Because he has changed and it doesn't matter.
"Hey, Chris, eat lunch together?" I asked him in the hallway. Amy smirked. Chris's arm was around her, and I was immediately feeling jealous. But I forgot it.
"Heck no. Do I even know you?" he smirked, leaving me alone in the crowd of people. Sammie came up to me, still walking in crutches. Her smile faded when she saw Chris leaving with Amy.
"What did he say now?" she sighed. I shook my head, still not believing it.
"He said he doesn't know me."
See? Chris is back to the person he was before. Chris Parker, the heartthrob of East Way High, the star football player. He is no longer the taco-eating, kind, caring person I knew.
