Smalls POV

I barely got to the hospital along with the guys and Vanessa and Benny parents.

"I got asked about them" Zak told everyone and we all just sit.

"What happened" Jay ask

"Um Benny call me and I heard that three guys wanted to beat Benny so I ran to the only one that I can trust which was Vanessa. She told me to text all the guys to meet us in the sandlot with their bats." I answer

"Vanessa is fine. Nothing to major. The skin just torn apart but it's small. Benny got some pretty hard hits. He lost a lot of blood. Which make him weak. But he should be fine." Zak informed us

Vanessa walked into the waiting room with her a new shirt . You can see the outline if a bandage around her tummy.

"Hey is Benny okay" Vanessa walk up to us. I stand up to let Vanessa sit down since I can tell she still sore.

"Yeah he got some pretty hard hits but he should be good" I answer her as she sat down

"Benjamin Franklin Rodriguez" a doctor call out

Everyone stand up

"Benjamin is fine. He got some hits but he got be fine." The doctor informed us

"Can we see him" Benny mom asked

"Yeah but only two at a time" doctor reply

"Vanessa want to come along" Benny mom asked Vanessa

"Yeah please" Vanessa nod and Danielle got her arm. They walk to his room.

"You guys should go home" Jay told us. It was only 7. So we all just shake our heads.

Vanessa POV

As we were walking. I was nervous. When we got to his door. Danielle told me that she need to pee. I walk into the room alone. I sat in his side and I grab his hand and kiss it. His face had some cuts and bruises. Along with the rest of his body. He started to wake up.

Benny POV

I was waking up and I saw Vanessa having a sour face

" a gorgeous girl is holding my hand. Dam am I in heaven" I joked

"Funny" Vanessa giggle

"My point because I saw the long face and I didn't like it. " I reply

"Are you in pain" she asked me

"Why you worry about me. Your cut reopen. " I asked

"I'm fine it only torn my skin. I should worry about you. You lose a lot of blood and you look pale as hell" she told she pulling a hand on my face and I lean to her touch.

"I'm fine love" I told me grabbing her hand and kissing it

"I love you Benny" she said

I just sit up and grab her face. I kiss her lips.

"I love you too Vanessa" I told her after kissing her

"Are you in pain. The paper said you broke some ribs." Vanessa asked

I just pull her down to lay down with me.

"I am okay" I told kiss her forehead.

"Good" Vanessa breath out. We just lay there and some of the boys came here. And talked .

I look down and saw Vanessa just looking at me.

"Penny for your thoughts" I joked

"I'm just looking at your cuts and bruises. I'm thinking just how you look way more hot." Vanessa joked

"I make it work babe" I kiss her forehead.

I look down and I really am lucky. I don't know how I got a girl like her. She took a stabbing for us.

"If you think too much. Your head got go boom " Vanessa made some hand gestures.

I just laugh at her silliness.

"Your crazy babe. I'm wasn't thinking bad thoughts. I'm thinking how lucky I got to have a amazing girl like you. Your beautiful and strong. You took a stabbing for us. You ran to help without hesitation. Even if mean you have to deal the pain of running with your cut still fresh. But you did. I couldn't ask for any more amazing girl. I'm truly am lucky" I told her and kissing her temple. I can tell that she was blushing.

"I also have great guy. As my boyfriend. You see he is amazing. Because even though he was weak and just got beat up. He still worry about me and put me his jacket to stop the bleeding. You save Smalls ass from being ground for the rest of his life."Vanessa cuddle me

"We have amazing friends also." I said kissing her hair

"We do and I said that we are so lucky. They went to the memorial kids and try to leave. Squints and Yeah Yeah we're about to get beat up but they didn't even fear in their eyes. It's amazing how lucky we get to call them our friends. " Vanessa reply

"Along with them protect you from Phillips. Talking about him. Do you remember what happened after I put my jacket around your cut. I heard his voice but it's was bury because I was try to not pass out." I asked her

"He came here saiding how he got the ambulance the minute he heard what his gang did you" Vanessa answer kissing my jaw and my neck.

"If you keep doing that then I might just be out of control. " I told getting a little bit of turn on. Vanessa just giggle.

"I'm happy your okay Benny" Vanessa said smiling at me

"Thanks Vane" I told her smiling.
