Chapter 28: Going back

Lara's POV

We have so much fun spending Christmas day together. But then I have to go back to reality again, I have some school stuff to finish. Bye bye happy life!

Jonghyun sends me to the airport with a weird disguise. He was following me but keep his distance. He was wearing a nerdy thick rim glasses, a mustache, a shoulder long black wig, black cap, faded blue lose pants, faded black shirt and a faded hoodie jacket. Imagine what he looks like. The handsome LEE JONGHYUN turns into a nobody. He even looks like a beggar in his outrageous get up. Good thing the guards at the airport is easy to convince that he's with me. He look so funny but I keep my laughter silent.

He accompanied me to the waiting area until my departure time. I got hungry so I bought burger in the corner not far from where we're sitting.

"Lara?" someone beside me said.

"Liam?" I said then he suddenly hugs me.

"Great to see you here." I was shocked and look where Jonghyun's is sitting. Liam is my friend in college. He always hugs everybody who's his friend either a girl or a boy.

"What brings you here?" I ask curiously.

"Oh! Family vacation. How about you?" He ask.

"Same" I replied with a smile. While we're talking, he was holding my hands. Yes and again he's always like that.

"What time is your flight?"

"2 hours from now."

"Same here. You're with your family, right?" He ask excitedly.

"No, I'll go back alone."

"Good, you can come with us. Let's go." He suggested.

"Thanks, I'll just say goodbye to my step brother" I said. He knows my story, Kirk told him. I look around and saw him approaching the exit.

"Yah!" I run towards him to say goodbye. What's wrong with him? Liam was following me.

I grab his arm while catching my breath. He looked back at me with a frowning face. Now what's wrong?

"What's wrong?" I said 'cause he looked so irritated.

"Nothing! I have to go." He said calmly but somehow sounds angry.

"Oh! Well, I'll be going too. I'll go with Liam and his family. Good thing we have the same flight." I said.

"Liam bro!" Liam extends his hand.

"Jo" he replied.

"He's my classmate as well as my friend." I explained 'cause he might got the wrong idea. He just nooded in return.

"Ahmm. goodbye. See you soon" I wave my hand and he nooded again and went off.

"Your step brother looks so weird." Liam said and I chuckled.

"He does" we both laugh going to the departure area where his family are waiting.

Liam introduces me to his family and they were so welcoming. His brother even teased us. Sorry friend, I'm already taken. That weird guy you just meet is my husband.

Jonghyun did not bother to call me after that day. Maybe he was just busy, they have a new album coming up.

One week later, I was preparing for my midterm exams. It was a pressure for me 'cause I have a scholarship to maintain and to think that I got only a passing grade on preliminary exams. I have to make it out on midterms. I was so focus studying when I got a call from Jonghyun.

Now he's calling?

"Hello?"

"Hi Ching? How are you? Sorry for not calling" he said.

"It's okay. I know you're busy." Was my only answer. I was still researching for the simplest formula in our topic.

"Not really" You're not busy and you did not bother to call me if I safely arrived or I was killed during the flight?

"Right!" I sarcastically said.

"Sorry. I know you're only friends with Liam......"

"What's Liam have to do with you not calling me?" Now I'm mad!

"I thought...... Sorry I was just Jealous" he said. Really?

"Again? How many times do I have to tell you, they are just my friends. You don't have to be Jealous to all of them. You're my husband, we're married. Don't you trust me ching? What more do I have to prove? Huh?" I'm getting angry here. Really angry!

"Nothing..."

"Maybe you have someone in....." I stop before I could say something stupid. "I'm studying for midterms. Sorry I can't talk right now. I can't focus on studying if you're always calling me" I added and immediately turn off the phone. Literally turn it of.

Tears roll down my chicks. I don't know what's happening to me. He was jealous of my friends and he knows they are just my friends. How about him? Lots of girls are chasing him. In the industry where he works, he's surrounded with lots of beautiful sexy girls. Does he think I get jealous too?

Jaira suddenly enters the room. "Ate? Why are you crying? What's the problem? Is someone bothing you? Tell me!!!!" She angrily said. My sister supports me in every aspects in life and always comforts me when I'm down. She'll even kill someone for me if I say so. I feel awful not telling her. I hope she'll understand.

"Nothing Jai. I'm just so frustrated with this problem. I can't get a simple formula." I lied.

"That's it? Gosh! I thought you just broke up with your boyfriend. You're so exaggerated with school. Chill up! Take a break" she said.

"I can't Jai. You know I can't" she nooded and went out. She knows I want to be alone in this situation.
