Your hands fidgeted in your lap, the seat you were currently inhabiting feeling uncomfortable and stiff. It was almost as if a test of your mental capability not to explode, shoving you and Jack (Soldier) into a car together. A single word had not been uttered, and you decided you might prefer it so.

You were currently making way to your old home, as you hadn't known the last time you left it you'd need to pack up. You'd accidentally stumbled upon a fight between Talon and Overwatch, and you had been grabbed as a hostage.

After many minutes of him shouting orders and the public watching in horror, you decided to kick that person whom grabbed you, apparently the leader, in a not-so-wonderful place to be kicked. Then carried on to bite him, which broke you free. No regrets.

Because of this painful escape, you ended up having to stay with team for a while, because in true Skeletor-like fashion, he declared vengeance to be sought. You began to stay with them with he assumption of disembarking once the stir died down. But, at the intervention of some training with Mercy, you were accepted to the team as an assistant medic. Though you had no powers or crazy fighting skills, you could stitch someone up in five seconds flat.

In your first weeks, you'd grown attached to many of the team members. One... Specifically being Jack. The two of you often could talk for long periods, but... he rarely had spoken to you as of recently. When he did, it wasn't alike the casual conversation of before. It was stiff and ridged, unalike the easygoing and teasing presence of before.

At this thought your gaze slid over to him, and you watched him steer the car in an almost listless way. A large thunderstorm was approaching, and because of that the roads were empty. This made for easy travel, though for your own muted thoughts, crowded roads might've made the car ride feel less like torture.

Of course, seeing your old home (city/town) was nice, though. Perhaps this would be your last time seeing it. You might've been sad at this thought before, but after meeting the Overwatch... You knew this (city/town) wasn't really your home any more. As you settled on his thought, rain began to slowly snowball into effect, turning into a hail and pelting rain within minutes.

When thunder finally sounded, you jumped in your seat. It had been completely silent in the car for so long, the comparison sounded like a child banging pots and pans next you your ear.

For the first time that day, you heard Jack make a noise.

A laugh.

Pulling up to your apartment, you both sat in the car for a long moment. "We didn't bring an umbrella, did we?" You grumbled, swinging open the door without awaiting a reply. Jack did the same, catching up to your side as you expertly made your way to your living quarters.

Soon your door swung open, revealing your small apartment you had purchased fresh out of high school. It was all the necessities, and gave you room for all your posters and hobbies. You'd learned to love the apartment, but now it was time to pack.

You gazed around a moment more before remembering the fact you were drenched. You shook your hands to rid yourself of some of the water, and you noticed Jack wringing out his jacket on the floor mat.

"I'll get you a towel." You called, slipping into the bathroom. He made a small noise in acknowledgement,  and when you returned his jacket had been discarded in a hopeless attempt by the door. Below it, he was wearing a blank teeshirt that hadn't suffered the same effects of the rain.
