[Doomfist X Spy!Reader]- The Holiday Gala

Also, I just started My Hero Academia (as in i'm on the second season already and WOW is it good-), and oOf 10/10 would recommend! Anywho, I'm now on Holiday break and have tons of time to update! You couldn't back out now, you were a hero. This was for the best.

At least, that was what you were telling yourself as you idly looked up to the grand building before you with a quivering heart. The tall structure was a marbled white, sported numerous columns, and held countless evil beings within its walls in a terrifying event you could hardly declare a 'gala'. The night was flush against the building, and only a distant street light permitted you vision, albeit a limited one. The only other lights were inside, where unspeakable horrors waited like hunters for prey. You swallowed anxiously, feeling rather threatened by the looming architecture and its inhabitants.

"You'll be fine." Soothed a voice behind you. It was Jack, better known to the world as Soldier 76. He was sitting in the driver's seat of a rented limousine, which was yet another aspect of your cover for this covert mission. A hat shielded most of his face for fear of being recognized by guards, but you knew his eyes were hard set and determined. Yours both were. They had to be if you had any hope of you getting out alive.

"Thank you." You whispered, rubbing your arms in an attempt to abate the cold. He nodded to you curtly, then flicked his chin upwards to the roof, where he and Tracer would be waiting if things went south. You were going in without weapon in the case of metal detectors, and you'd be much less likely to be killed should you be caught if you were weaponless. That was the hope, anyways.

"Don't be too reckless, recruit. If you stand out too much, they'll remember your face." Jack reminded you, as he'd done numerous other times that day. You nodded stoically. It was no coincident that you'd been chosen for the mission within your first weeks of being an Overwatch operative. The world had yet to know of your face as a hero's, and you needed it to stay that way if you wanted to gather information on missions such as this. Thinking about the plan, you mindlessly fiddled with the ear piece you'd be using to contact the rest of the team for the night.

"Has he been detained?" You quietly asked. This 'he' meaning an infamous gang leader who was set to attend the Gala tonight with his daughter of your age to strike some sort of deal with Doomfist, the host of the party. The team had planned from the very beginnings of this operation to detain the man and his daughter on their way to the celebration as for you to steal his daughter's identity. You'd lie that the man, or your 'father', was ill to the bouncer.

"Yes, Rozalija Carran." Your commander confirmed, sporting your false name.

You shared a final nod with the man before he pulled away to retire to his position on the rooftop, leaving you lonesome in front of the anxiety-inducing building. You could be moments away from loosing your life, but you knew this was for the greater good. This information could save thousands- perhaps millions. With that in mind, you adjusted your rather elegant outfit once more before steadily walking forward and into the place you'd dreaded for weeks.

Immediately upon entering, warmth washed over you, symbolically ridding yourself of your true personality and allowing you to slip into character. You'd entered a small parlor containing two gigantic guards in suits stoically standing by the following set of doors to the ballroom. Through the glass on the door, you could see grand dresses and tuxedos twirling.
