Chuunibyou translates to "eighth grade syndrome"

This does contain spoilers, I'll warn you when.

I say this with a lot of anime I first finish, but this is a HIGHLY recommended anime.

9/10 is my rating.

If you like love stories that may make you cry, but also have some comedy, this is for you.

It's about a boy named Togashi Yuuta. Yuuta had this "eighth grade syndrome". He acted like his entire world was fantasy, and did quite embarrassing things. He regretted his past, so he transferred to a new school.

Well, Rikka transferred as well. The thing is, she still had eighth grade syndrome. And a bad case at that.

Blah blah blah, they meet more friends, make a club, ect ect.

Yuuta and Rikka become very close, because he is the only one who accepts her for what she is.

After Yuuta finds out about her terrible past, he knows that's why she has this syndrome. It's the only way to cope about it for her.

He then relieves her from her eighth grade syndrome. But not for long. He finds out she is staying with her family in another town for forever, so he's running to rescue her.

But he knows the only way to do that is to return to HIS eighth grade syndrome. He finds her, and takes her to the ocean. He "blasts reality" and that's where she is able to finally say goodbye to the one she has lost.

I cried so hard in the last two episodes. It was so sweet and touching. In the last scene I was already bawling, but what made me cry more was that:

1. I was already sad.
2. I found out that the anime girl crying picture I used when I left Wattpad was from THAT SCENE.

SO I WAS SITTING THERE WEEPING.

more spoilers

Tbh I hated the ending. It really made me mad how they both had to get their eighth grade syndrome back. I liked them both without it :1

NO MORE SPOILERS I SWEAR
