*Paisley's POV*

"Then he told me that he loves me." I finished in a quiet but happy voice. The two girls sitting cross legged on my bed let out tiny squeals when the words left my mouth and I slightly laughed.

Lela and Perrie sat in front of me with large smiles on there faces and I could tell that they were happy for me. You see after Xander had confessed his love to me and apologized he had taken me home, but not before a little lip locking. To my surprise Lela and Perrie were in my room waiting for me when I entered and I then proceeded to tell them everything that had happened.

"That's so romantic! I didn't know that Xander had it in him to actually love somebody." Lela spoke, giving me a small smile. She was right too. If somebody was to tell me three months ago that Xander Jackson, the biggest man whore in our school, was in love with me I would probably roll on the floor with laughter before escorting them to a mental hospital.

It's just hard to think that a boy like him, somebody who was constantly jumping from one girl to the next, could actually fall in love and dedicate himself to a single person. I've heard the opinions of others and I know that some people think that Xander is going to slip up and do something horribly wrong but I have more faith in him then that, I honestly believe that we have passed the rough part of our relationship.

A happy sigh escaped my lips and then a thought crossed my mind, has Perrie found her mate yet? I mean she hasn't mentioned him if she has but I don't know. So I did the logical thing and I asked her.

"Hey Perrie?" I questioned. Perrie had been staring out the large window next to my bed but when I called her name her head snapped towards me.

"What?" She questioned with a smile.

"Have you found your mate yet?" I asked curiously. Perries face fell which cause me to frown. She sighed before picking at the sleeve of her sweater.

"No." She muttered. I pursed my lips and studied her face. Perrie looked unhappy to simply say the word and she didn't look like she exactly wanted to talk about it but I continued to question her.

"Oh. Do you want to talk about it?" I asked as I scooted a bit closer to her. It was obvious that she was upset about not having found her mate yet. Perries frown deepened before she looked up at me and nodded slightly. I listened intently as she began to talk.

"I haven't found him yet and I know that people don't always find there mate right away but I've been looking for him since I was sixteen, what if he's not out there?" Perrie ended in a whisper. It is possible for a person to never find there mate. Some mates just don't find each other and others die before they have the chance to meet their other half.

I could see in Perries eyes the worry that she felt. Perrie is currently eighteen, almost nineteen, which means she's been looking for her mate for almost three years and I could tell that she was beginning to loose hope. I reached forward and took one of her warm hands in my own.

"You will find him eventually. He's out there Perrie, you just have to wait. When the time is right, when the moon goddess thinks your ready, she will send your mate to you. So just be patient, it will happen." I promised truthfully.

Perries frown disappeared and was replaced with a small, happy smile. My cousin reached forward and snagged me into a tight, nearly crushing me. I laughed before wrapping my arms around her and hugging her back. After a few seconds we pulled apart and I returned the smile I was given.

"Thank you." Perrie said quietly. I laughed slightly before shrugging.

"It's no big deal, its only the truth." I answered. Perrie shook her head and connected her eyes with mine.

"No I mean it, that's exactly what I needed to hear. Your a great friend Paisley and I'm glad to know you." Perrie spoke and I could hear the sincerity. My smile widened at her words.

"I'm glad to know you too Perrie." I answered. I had almost forgotten that Lela was in the room and when she spoke up I slightly jumped.

"Well that was very heart felt, beautiful moment really, but I'm starving." Lela stated as she jumped up from my bed and grabbed our wrists, pulling us up with her. I laughed and shook my head, I really do love my friends.

..

"Stop it!" I cried as a loud laughed escaped my lips. Perrie and Lela both ignored my pleas and continued to decorate me with food. Multiple pieces of popcorn was thrown into my face and I screeched when I felt a cold liquid in my hair.

I jumped up from the couch and turned to face my two evil Best friends. Perrie and Lela stood on the other side of my sofa hands filled with the snacks and drinks we had been drinking only moments ago. We were all covered in the items, though I was a little bit more so then the other two because they had teamed up on me.

You see after our little talk Lela had dragged Perrie and myself down into my kitchen and we had pigged out on nearly everything in my fridge. We had then decided that we were going to have a movie marathon so we picked out the film and gathered all of the sweets in my house.

This whole food fight started when I had thrown a handful of popcorn at Lela. She had then thrown skittles at me and eventually it turned into an all out food fight in my living room. The movie that was still playing behind me was long forgotten as my friends and I battled it out.

Lela raised her popcorn filled hand before thrusting it forward. I ducked but it didn't do much since some popcorn still landed in my sticky hair, sticky because Perrie had poured soda in it.

I picked up my half drank bottle of water and gave it a good squeeze, causing the water to shoot forward and soak the both of them. Perrie squealed while Lela simply grabbed her own water bottle and returned the gesture.

I laughed loudly. I knew that my parents were going to be furious when they got home and saw this mess but I really couldn't seem to care because I was having way to much fun.

I had just raised my hand, about ready to throw a handful of Reese's pieces at my friends, when an excruciating pain erupted all over my body. My full hand opened and released the candy which fell to the ground, along with my body.

I didn't even feel any pain when my body slammed down onto the hardwood floor and before I had time to stop it a loud, ear piercing scream escaped my lips. It felt like the flesh was being ripped from my body, all over the place. My head throbbed and my back felt like it was being clawed at. The main source of pain though was my stomach. My whole entire mid section was on fire and I could hardly breath.

Another pain filled scream left my lips and the warm tears that fell from my eyes clouded my vision.

"Paisley!" I heard somebody yell and I couldn't seem to tell which one of my friends it belonged to. Lela and Perrie came into my blurry line of sight and they immediately crouched down next to me.

"Oh god! What's happening?" Perrie yelled as she stared down at me. Neither of them touched me. I tried to open my mouth, to get words out, but nothing came except another scream. I suddenly hear my front door being thrown open and the sound of footsteps rushing into the room.

"Oh my.." I recognized the voice of my mom. I tilted my head and saw that both of my parents were standing in the door way of the room, staring at me with worried eyes. It seemed that they broke out of their trance as they rushed over to me.

Lela and Perrie moved out of my parents' way and I soon felt warm hands touching my body. Yet another strangled scream left me as the pain in my midsection increased.

"Paisley you need to tell me what's wrong. What's happening?" Questioned my dad as he gently searched me. He lifted my shirt and gently prodded my head, looking for the source of my pain. I hadn't noticed but my mom had taken a step away and was talking on the phone in a hushed voice.

I couldn't even answer my dads questions because I didn't know the answer, I didn't know what was causing my pain. Everything had been fine before, nothing was wrong, nothing hurt. Then the pain came out of nowhere. There was nothing causing it. And then it hit me. This isn't my pain.

My heart beat increased and my breathing began to come out in short breaths. The midsection pain only continued to increase but it almost didn't faze me. It made sense now. This pain doesn't belong to me, I'm not injured, my mate is. When my mom rejoined us she said the words that I already knew but didn't want to hear.

"It's Xander, he was attacked by a group of rogues. He's in critical condition."
