"Okay we definitely need to get you a mask" Sighed Cisco as he worked at his computer, bending over the desk--refusing to use his provided chair, as always.

"No one knows me but you guys and Iris" Mackenzie shrugged

"But they will if I don't get you a mask ASAP" Cisco pointed out

"Cisco's right" Wells intruded, "Your identity is valuable and best kept as a secret"

"Whatever Boss Man, I'll bring Clyde Martin's body wherever it needs to be" Mack sighed

"Boss Man?" Caitlin questioned, fighting a laugh.

"Boss Dude. Man of the Lab. Homie Harry" Mackenzie recited before she left, leaving everyone giggling.

She came back to the Cortex and saw that no one but Barry was in there.

"Hey Barry" She said as she leaned over his desk and looked at his computer screen, "What's up?"

"Don't you have some training with Oliver to do? Or someone else to make fun of and pester?" Barry asked harshly, getting up and going to the supply cabinet. Mackenzie clenched her jaw and turned around slowly to face him.

"Was that suppose to be sarcasm? Dry humor?" She asked cautiously

"Does it look like I'm joking?" Barry rolled his eyes

"Hey what's up with you Barry? You alright?" Mackenzie asked him, stopping his fast-paced walk with a firm hand on his shoulder.

"You're just!" Barry growled before taking a deep breath and continuing, "...You're funny and you're pretty and you can save people without powers and you're strong and independent and you're trainer-boyfriend is Oliver freaking Queen! I- I don't know what to do!" Barry yelled loudly

"Do about what?" She inquired calmly

"Nothing" Barry muttered, his cheeks red as roses as he turned away from her.

"Barry will you have dinner with me?" Mackenzie sighed.

"Wait... I just yelled at you... And your asking me out on a date?" Barry said slowly.

"Consider it a do-over. You don't seem to like me all that much, and if we're working together, then we have to at least be able to bear each other" Mackenzie explained

"Seven on Thursday?" Barry questioned

"Seven on Thursday" She confirmed

"See you then" Barry nodded slowly

"See you Barry" Mackenzie said as she left S.T.A.R. Labs.

"Oh yes! That one! It's perfect!" Gushed Thea as she helped Mackenzie pick out a dress

"It feels like too much?" Mackenzie stated

"It looks lovely Mack" Oliver smiled

"Oliver you're a people pleaser, you'd tell me I look lovely in a paperbag. Please give me your honest opinion" She huffed as she held out the two dresses for Ollie to see.

"Red" Said Ollie after some thought

"Thank you" Mackenzie breathed as she went into the bathroom and changed. It was a skater dress with a white bustier top and a slightly above knee-length red skirt.
