The next morning Barry stormed into S.T.A.R Labs.

"Where's Mackenzie?!" Barry demanded, more geared towards Caitlin.

"Don't know, don't care" Cusco mumbled disappointedly. He had liked Mack a lot, but this was different. Murder was different. It changed everything.

"I decided not to pursue last night. I assume she's at her house?" Wells sighed

"She's not. I checked" Barry almost shivered at the memory.

No doubt Mackenzie was bat-shit crazy, but there was something about her, or maybe something about him, that had to check on her. Had to make sure she was safe. Had to make sure she was okay. So with a deep breath, Barry ran to her house. When he entered, he was frazzled.

The entire house was impeccably clean.

Every counter, floor, and wall swept and scrubbed. Every appliance looked shiny and new. The couches were vacuumed and looked straight out of the store. The glass coffee table was so clean you could barely tell it was glass. The windows actually shone and the beds were all made neatly. And the house had been repainted white. Everything was a pristine, quarantine-like white.
And it was completely empty. No sign of Mackenzie or the mess she was last night. Everything looked straight out of a catalogue, and like it had never been touched.

And there wasn't a single light in the house.

"Barry?" Caitlin asked, concerned

"What? Sorry" Barry snapped out of his daze

"Why did you go to her house?"

"To check on her"

"That wasn't very wise, was it?" Wells sighed again, rubbing his temples

"No, it wasn't" Barry mumbled

"Then where is she?" The whole group looked to Caitlin. She squirmed under their gaze. She was a terrible liar.

"She went home" Caitlin said quietly

"Starling City?" Cisco asked

"...Australia" Caitlin sighed

"Well we have to go find her! She's a murderess on the loose. She'll kill you in a second, she confessed it to me!" Barry said hurriedly

"Barry... Barry... BARRY!" Wells cut off his rambling, "I need to tell you all something about Mack"

"Oh no" Cisco groaned, dropping down into his swivel chair.

"It's a long story, so sit down" Wells sighed

Barry plopped himself on the floor--cross legged, Cisco wheeled over in his swivel chair, and Caitlin sat upon a desk. Caitlin shifted uneasily, because she was a part of said long story too, and neither of them were very proud of if.

"Mackenzie Elizabeth Carter... Well, is going to kill me for telling you all this... But it's important. Miss Carter was born and raised in Australia. She had a family, lived a normal childhood, and was quite the ball of sunshine from what I hear" Wells started. Cisco and Barry scoffed in unison. Wells glared at them and they lowered their gazes to their feet.

"But when she was thirteen, her brother died. Loosing someone so close to her at that age caused a lot of trauma. The impact of her brother's death hit her hard, and she hated that. She learned at a young age how painfully vulnerability can be, so she completely cut everyone off. She promised herself that she wouldn't let anything hurt her that much again, that she would be stronger next time something happened. So she constantly training to be stronger, harder, better. She went to highschool, excelled in everything from calculus to english to world history to computer science and chemistry. The Australian government took notice of her skills and recruited her into the army. She served as an international spy and hitwoman-" Here Wells got cut off
