Tom smiled softy as Carlson laughed at something that had happened on the show. He hadn't been paying attention, distracted by the halo of blonde hair and the bright smile in his arms.
They'd finished the takeout awhile ago, Carlson leaving the boxes strewn across the table as she settled into Tom's arms. He laid down on the couch behind her with his arm around her waist and her hear resting on his other arm while she watched the comedy.
"Hello? Earth to Thomas?" Carlson called and grinned as the confusion on his face left. "Oh, sorry, what's up love?" He asked. "Just wanted to know what you were thinkin'," She replied. "That I'm officially the luckiest boy in the world because I get to be here holding you." Carlson giggled again, "You're a sap. I'm the lucky one, Tommy Boy."
