Ch. 7 - Chat?

"Chat?" The blue-haired girl asked.
Suddenly, Chat's bubble was popped and his guard dropped.
"Yeah- Yeah, sorry, It's just that..." Chat reached out, grazing her cheek with the back of his fingers, gently. "You have her smile."
His voice, soothing and as sweet as honey, drowned Ladybug. He stayed at a safe distance, and his eyes seemed to be happy enough to make her melt.
She would've said something, anything, but her mouth wouldn't move. Not that she wanted Chat to stop; she never said she wasn't enjoying having a boy as handsome as him give her attention.
Chat's eyes were locked on hers until her smile faded into a straight line.
He retreated, taking a step back and straightening his back.
"I... I'm..." He sighed. "You have my mom's smile."
She stayed, immobile, her big ocean eyes staring not at the cocky boy that flirted with her five minutes after they met, but at a different boy. A little boy who missed his mother.
Amid all that chaos, Chat and Ladybug were the only ones silent. Neither of them knew what to say, and they didn't need to to understand what the other was feeling.
