Request : Could you write a HotchxReader or SpencerxReader based on the song "As She's Walking Away" by the Zac Brown Band? Thank you if possible!

It had been a long day at work. Between your crappy boss and annoying coworkers, you were laughing at yourself for thinking about whether or not it would be worth it to call it quits and live off a grocery bagger's wages. The bartender tipped off your scotch for the second time and you took a long drink. Thank God it was Friday, you thought to yourself.

"Rough day, honey?" The bartender, his nametag read Charles, asked as he dried a glass with a cloth.

You let out a bitter chuckle and rattled the ice in your drink. "That doesn't even begin to describe it." You shook your head.

"Aw, I'm sorry darlin'. How come?" He asked sincerely.

"Just my job." You sighed. You really didn't want to focus on your job for any longer than you had to.

"Well it looks like you got yourself an admirer." Charles smirked and nodded towards a tall man standing awkwardly near the doorway. His cheeks were red and he kept brushing stray strands of hair out of his eyes as he snuck peeks at you. You flashed him a smile and bit your lip, but when he realized you had caught him staring, he panicked and looked at the ground.

We never spoke a word

But every thought she had I heard from across the room

If we were standing face to face

I couldn't find the words to say

Give me one more move

I don't even know her name

I guess foolish pride's to blame

"Don't scare him, darlin'." Charles teased. You jokingly narrowed your eyes at him. You couldn't help but feel slightly disappointed. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy, and they were rare nowadays. You took a deep breath and finished the last of your drink. You waited for a couple more minutes, but it looked like the man across the room wasn't going to make a move.

"Maybe next time, honey." Charles comforted you as best he could. You shrugged and payed for your drinks before reluctantly walking towards the door.

Now I'm falling in love as she's walking away

And my heart won't tell my mind to tell my mouth what it should say

May have lost this battle, live to fight another day

Now I'm falling in love

As she's walking away

You paused just before walking out and glanced shyly at the guy. He opened his mouth in a panic, desperately searching for something to say. He couldn't come up with anything and just closed his mouth defeatedly. DIsappointment tugged at your stomach and you pushed open the door. If only things had been different. If only one of you had had the courage.

And don't be falling in love as she's walking away

When your heart won't tell your mind to tell your mouth what it should say

May have lost this battle, live to fight another day

Don't be falling, falling, falling in love

As she's walking away
