She did IN FACT die, but she has such strong power that her body just kind of went into a sort of cryo sleep without the cryotube. She was so wounded and weak in the end that her powers took over and made her into this sort of dead state. And then days passed and eventually they were done healing her and she woke up from that sort of sleep she was in. But the reason Charles and everyone else thinks she's dead at the end of Days of Future Past is because I was thinking that I would make her somehow send out false images of them burying her into everyone's mind so she could get away from everything because of all the power she felt when she revived herself and she wanted to keep everyone safe. Which is where Charles saying that she was dead at the end of I Found You comes into play. I've honestly had the idea of doing it all like this before I even started my first book. Hope this clears everything up for anyone who was a little confused!!
