Grayson and I patiently waited outside the emergency room. The gang needed to go because we couldn't expose all of them with so many people in one place. Grayson was staring into space, his fingers fidgeting on his lap.

I know Ethan lost a lot of blood but the doctors say they'll do everything they can. No one knows what Ethan Dolan, the worst criminal looked like. That's why Grayson used another name when they asked for information.

"This was the first time Ethan got shot critically." He spoke up, causing me to look at him. His eyes were tired but he was extremely worried and nervous for his brother. I found myself being the same way too.
"What were you gonna tell him?" This time he looked at me, curiosity all over his eyes. Should I tell him? I avoided eye contact and bit my lip nervously.

"Don't worry. Even if you don't tell me, I already know." My head turned to him and he had a small smile on his lips. Was it that obvious already?

"I was gonna finally tell him how I feel." I started.
"That you were already falling for my brother?" He smirked, rubbing my back for I don't know what reason.
"It's never easy to admit but he really loves you and he'd do anything for you." I know that. I smile at him and nodded.
"You still have a lot to know about him and that's the first step. Just don't push him away." He intently looked at me, waiting for my answer. If I agree to this, it's like agreeing to finally give up on escaping.

Before I could even give him an answer, the doctor got out of the emergency room and we both stood up.

"Grant is doing fine. We've removed the bullet in his stomach and there will be only maintenance for his antibiotics here for a few days then he can go." We sighed in relief and thanked the doctor. He ran his fingers through his hair and smiled at me.

He's safe and for the first time in 3 months of being with him, I felt safe around him as well.

Ethan's POV

I was awaken by a beeping next to me, actually thinking it was Kirsty's tracker. Is she running away again? I opened my eyes, only to find that I was in a hospital. Things started to flashback in my mind, as I touch my stitched wound on my stomach. But a certain memory from that moment made me smile and thank the heavens above that I got shot.

She held my hand tight and I saw tears streaming down her face. I knew it, I knew that I mattered to her. Maybe she doesn't love me yet but at least we have something.

The door swung open, revealing my brother and my girlfriend. Yes, she's mine and she's my girlfriend whether she likes it or not.
"You scared the fuck out of me." Gray rolled his eyes, coming by my bedside as I chuckle at him.
"I'm feeling better anyway. When will I get out of here?" I asked, my eyes stuck at Kirsty who is playing with her fingers. She could've gone back with the gang but she stayed that made my heart flutter a bit.

"In a few days." I completely ignored what my brother said and just stared at her and how beautiful she was just by standing there.
"Alright, I'll get out." My brother sighed with a chuckle and I nodded at him, I'm glad he got that I wanted to be alone with her. Grayson got out as she walked towards me with a faint smile on her face.

"How are you doing?" She asked, studying the wires connected to my body from a machine. This is why I hate hospitals, they always make it seem like you're about to die.
"I've been better. Are you worried?" She looked surprised of my question, swallowing down hard.
"Yes, apparently I was." She tucked a bunch of her hair behind her ears, revealing her face more. How could someone be so beautiful? She looked intense and I didn't know why. I held her hand and she looked at me.

"I-I have something to tell you." She started and I was nervous of what would that be. I suddenly felt my stomach churn, fighting the urge of not listening to what she's about to say. Was she going to convince me to let her go? I can't possibly do that. She can't leave me. I swallowed down hard, waiting for her to speak.

"Yes, you were right." I was confused as she speaks but I let her finish. "I do have feelings for you." She whispered the last part but I heard it clearly, actually loud enough to make me smile from ear to ear.

"Say that again." I said while grinning like a 5 year old kid who just got a bunch of candies. She chuckled and bit her lip.

"I like you, Ethan."

I didn't even care that she said she only liked me. That was enough for me to pull her into a kiss.
