Chapter 12| "HEY." My eyebrows furrowed themselves as I looked at the male standing on the other side of the doorframe, whilst staring back at me.

"Can I possibly help you?" I asked after remaining silent. He remained silent as well before I awkwardly cleared my throat bringing him out of his thoughts.

"Oh sorry." He apologized.

"Can I help you?" I questioned raising my eyebrows.

"Um, is Amelia here?"

"That depends. . .who's asking?"

"Me, obviously."

"Now, now. That's no need for that tone, sir." I narrowed my eyebrows. "Now, what do you want?"

"To see Amelia. I thought I already established this."

"Who the heck are you?" I asked. He opened his mouth to say something sarcastic, mean or whatever. I didn't care.

"A person."

"You know what, goodbye. Come back another time when you can actually answer questions." Then I slammed the door in his face annoyed.

"Hey, it's Treadmill Girl." I suddenly whipped around whilst tightly clenching onto my shoulder bag confused.

"Oh, it's only you." I sighed in relief.

"Only me?" Mason questioned. "Gee, could you possibly sound happier to see me?" He asked.

"I mean I could but. . ." I shrugged my shoulders finishing the sentence.

He chuckled and ran a hand through his absolutely soft-looking hair. I glanced away for a moment before speaking up.

"So, uh. . .what exactly do you want?" I questioned confused.

"Can't a guy subtly approach a girl in the middle of a hallway without wanting something?"

I gave him a look. "Okay, fine." He chuckled. "I just wanted to walk with you to class."

"Uh. . .why?"

"I dunno. I just wanted a walking buddy, and you looked like you kinda needed one. So. . . here I am."

"Awe, how sweet." I sarcastically spoke causing him to chuckle before walking beside me and wrapping an arm around my shoulders.

"Uh. . ." My eyes narrowed at his arm before I looked upwards at him with raised eyebrows.

"So, what class are you going to? I could drop you off."
