How did we get here? To the point of me breaking down and telling everything to him. I swore last time I told this story things became harder for me but here I go telling him everything. Tears fall from my eyes as he wipes them away comforting me. Which is why I knew he was the only one who could ever know.

So who is he? How did I meet him? What was so traumatic in my lifetime that I was terrified to speak of to anyone? The only way you can get any answers is to listen to my story. I’ll start from the day I met him.

Tucked away in a black hoodie with tear-stains down my face was me after leaving McKinney and swearing to never go back. I saw someone going to every flight trying to find me. Ha. He’d never get me now. My flight to Nashville was already preparing for take-off as he ran his way up. “Sir, we can’t let you onboard the flight is closed.” Said a guard. “Please you don’t understand my sister might be on board and she has a mental disorder.” The all too familiar voice lied. “We’ll track her down and get her to you after the flight lands.” The guard said as I prayed somehow he couldn’t find me. My flight took off as I heard him utter my name and information. Good thing I had changed so many things about myself that I couldn’t fit his description.

The plane ride was silent as the guards checked for information. I sat next to a bright red haired girl. “You okay?” she asked me seeing as my nerves grew each time the guard grew closer. I nodded. “I'm fine.” I lied and she knew it. “Look you seem scared of something…” the girl offered. “More like someone…” I sighed. “Well you can tell me…I won’t tell a soul.” She smiled a very friendly open smile. This girl honestly reminded me a lot of my best friend back home Skylar Laine.  I felt comfortable enough in the girl to give her the basic story everyone got of my life “Okay…well I have this very abusive boyfriend whose obsessive with me…I'm running away from him.” I sighed. The girl took my shaking hand “He’s the one who lied about the sister isn’t he?” she sighed. I nodded tears streaming again down my face. “I’ve got you covered don’t worry.” The girl smiled at me.

“And you are?” the guard said finally getting to us. “Schyler Dixon and Baylie Brown.” The girl lied. “IDs?” he said. The girl quickly slipped me an ID for Baylie Brown who at least looked a tad bit like me. The guard seemed satisfied with our IDs. “Okay you’re cleared.” He said as he moved on to the next row.

I hugged Schyler “Thank you…” “It’s no problem. You honestly seemed scared and I believe you.” She smiled. I was fortunate for that girl “So what’s your real name?” Schyler asked me. “I'm Hollie. Hollie Cavanagh.” I said. “Well Hollie you obviously know by now I'm Schyler Dixon.” She laughed a bit. I smiled “Yes I do.” I laughed a bit. “You’re staying with me when we get to Nashville and I'm not taking no for an answer.” She giggled. “How can I ever repay you?” I asked grateful for everything this girl was giving me. “You don’t have to.” She shrugged.

When the plane landed Schyler and I made our way off the flight “Oh Hollie I forgot to mention my brother is picking us up from the airport. I think you’ll like him.” She smiled a bit. Like him wouldn’t describe the words of what I felt for her brother now. He was everything. As you can tell my relationship with Schyler’s brother grows.

There he was. He was about 6 foot tall and was super skinny all over. Any girl would envy his skinny body let me put it that way. “Hey Sky how was your flight?” he smiled at her. “It was interesting. I brought home a friend.” She smiled at me. “Hello.” I said. “Oh my gosh you’re British!” he smiled. “I guess I am.” I laughed a bit. “Look Colt, she’s in a complicated situation. Can she please stay with us?” she begged. “Okay…” her brother said unsure. Schyler celebrated then hugged me tightly. We got into his car taking off for the new part of my life.

“So what’s your name Schyler’s stowaway?” The guy teased. “I'm Hollie Cavanagh.” I laughed a bit. “Hollie that is such an adorable name.” he smiled at me. “Thanks and what is yours Schyler’s brother?” He laughed a bit at how formal I talked “I'm Colton Dixon.” “Colton. I’ve never heard that name before.” I said. “Maybe because I'm not from London.” He winked at me and I laughed. I had a good feeling we would get along great.

“Welcome home Hollie.” He smiled at me as we pulled up to his home. “Oh it’s just lovely.” I smiled. He laughed “Lovely. Oh Blimey.” I rolled my eyes at bit at him making fun of my Britishness. I couldn’t help but be laughing too on the inside. He showed me around the house. “We this is kind of my parents’ home.” He bit his lip, “I'm not sure how long you can stay here. Once they get back I’ll know for sure.” I nodded. I could understand. I thought about back home what would’ve happened if I had come home with Schyler or Colton what my parents would think or even if they would let them stay. But all that was in the past. I was living my new life in Tennessee.
