Colton and I continued to live in Murfreesboro through the years. We soon moved out of his parents’ house and moved in together after Colton had gotten signed with a record label called Sparrow Records. I was so proud of him for that. He recorded his first album A Messenger which was a huge success. Today I was going to attend his concert in McKinney. Here we sat in Hope Fellowship, the church I grew up going to. Colton sang a few of his usual songs on his album release date “Never Gone”, “You Are”. I’ve heard these before. Then he began some of the new songs off his album “This next song was inspired by two people who have been very special in my life. One of these two people actually lived here in McKinney. I love her so much she’s my Holliepop and she’s here today and you guys have no idea how proud of her I am.” He smiled at me. “This song is one I wrote for her, Hollie I really hope you love it this one is called ‘Scars’.”

“Defeated, wasted, broken, bruised all because of my addictions. It left me crying and confused. It cuts right through my religion my good intentions. Disregarded, overlooked. Sinking lower and lower. The shame erased my name and took my face and made it like the others. Would I recover? Today's another day to learn from my mistakes knowing that we're not forsaken. They give life to where we've been when we fall and start again. Scars remind us who we are. Self-indulgent, death by pride. Forgetting all that I've been given but still you’ve never left my side. Brought back to life, you healed the broken with arms wide open. Today’s another day to learn from my mistakes knowing that we're not forsaken. They give life to where we've been when we fall and start again. Scars remind us who we are. I'm aching, I'm breaking.  Lord, I'm suffocating, oh Lord, wake me and save me. Use the abused me. Take me and fill me up. Today's another day forgiven of mistakes knowing that we're not forsaken. They give life to where we've been when we fall and start again. Your scars remind us who we are. Today's another day to learn from my mistakes knowing that we're not forsaken. They give life to where we've been. When we fall and start again Scars remind us who we remind us who we are.” He finished singing the crowd cheered. I of course was brought to tears.

He called me up onstage “Now Colton I’m crying.” I laughed as I walked up. The crowd cheered for me. “Hollie is probably to most special girl I’ve ever known in my life. Not only have I helped her through so much she helped me finally put a lot of things that killed me on the inside in the past behind me. I will tell you guys most of my songs I will sing today are to her. This next song is one I wrote for her it’s a bit more of a happy tune I think you’ll like that Holliepop.” He laughed wiping away my tears. “This one’s called Where My Heart Goes.”

Where does my heart go? When I have a choice to make? Who do I follow? When my character's at stake? Will I run from you or to your arms? Will I fight to be right where you are 'cause life is pulling me a million different ways. This is my song that I sing forever you are my home, you are what I treasure. I want you to be where my heart goes and if it all breaks if it goes to pieces you are the one that I will believe in. I know you won't ever let me go (You won't let me go). I want you to be where my heart goes. There's no denying what this world will promise me. But I have decided you are the only thing I need. So take everything, take everything, take everything. This is my song that I sing forever. You are my home, you are what I treasure. I want you to be where my heart goes. And if it all breaks if it goes to pieces you are the one that I will believe in. I know you won't ever let me go (You won't let me go). I want you to be where my heart. Runs to, clings to Jesus, I so need you. I want you to be where my heart goes. This is my song that I sing forever. You are my home, you are what I treasure. I want you to be where my heart goes (Where my heart goes). And if it all breaks if it goes to pieces you are the one that I will believe in. I know you won't ever let me go (You won't let me go). I want you to be where my heart goes. I want you to be where my heart goes.” He finished kissed me. “Thanks baby.” I smiled. “Isn’t she amazing everyone?” he smiled at me. The crowd cheered. “Well Hollie, there’s something I need to ask you. Ever since the day I met you I knew you were going to be someone very special. I'm so glad Schyler found you all that time ago. I have one question to ask you baby, I want you to be wherever my heart goes, and will you do me the honor of being my wife? Or as it’s typically said will you marry me?” he said

I was so surprised yet so thrilled. “Michael Colton Dixon, yes, yes I will.” I smiled kissing him. The fans went crazy. I giggled he smiled at me slipping the ring on my finger. Apparently his proposal was trending all over twitter and my mentions went crazy. It was such an amazing feeling to have finally found the one and the risk of my heart was worth all the reward.
