It was a warm summer afternoon in the Forbidden Forest and Aqua was using her powers to freeze the bubbling stream that flowed. Aqua had her hand outstretched above the water and all her thoughts were focused on turning the warm stream to ice. Ever so slowly ice appeared on the water under her hand, then stretched outward freezing the small river.

Aqua walked away from the now frozen river over to Firestar and Darkmoon who were leaning against a tree watching her. "How did I do?" Aqua asked anxiously waiting for their approval. "Nice," said Firestar and gave her an encouraging nod. Aqua turned to Darkmoon who was, as always, in his wolf form. "You're getting better, but better won't save you if you life is in danger. Now we will work on hand to hand combat. Firestar, please transform and help Aqua with this exercise."

Firestar did as he was told and turned into a human. "Now Aqua defend yourself against him," said Darkmoon as Aqua balled her fists ready to fight. "And Firestar don't take it easy on her."
Firestar nodded his head and took a swing at Aqua. "Calculate his next move, then strike," Darkmoon said about twenty feet away. Firestar took a step forward and swung at Aqua's face, but she knew he was going to do this and grabbed his arm landing a few punches in his gut. "Good," said Darkmoon. "Take his size into consideration when you fight. He is a lot taller than you, use that to your advantage.

Aqua took a hit to the face as she tried to go for his legs. Next Aqua tried a different technique and lunged at Firestar, but his ducked at the last second sending her tumbling to the floor. Firestar used Aqua's vulnerability on the ground for him to pin her arms and legs. There was nothing she could do, the fight was over. And Firestar was its victor.

"You're biggest mistake was throwing all you weight at him, it left you vulnerable for attack," said Darkmoon as Firestar hopped off Aqua and held out his hand to help her up.

Darkmoon walked closer to Aqua, he was almost a foot taller than she was making her feel a little uneasy with his size. "Also don't forget you have powers, use them to your advantage in a fight." "Ok," was all Aqua could say. She had worked up quite a sweat and appetite while working out with Firestar.

"Same time tomorrow?" Aqua asked Darkmoon. "Yes," Darkmoon replied ready to answer any questions she had.

"I also had a question about my necklace. You already told me about my family and everything, but I want to know why I get these powers from this necklace? Or at least where did it come from before it was in my family?"

"I'm sorry, but I don't know the answers to your questions. I only know that your mother gave it to you the day you were born, that's it. The rest of the information you seek lies in the library of the Lamadians, but it is forbidden. Do you understand?"

Aqua slightly hung her head before saying, "Yes." After a moment of awkward silence, Aqua spoke up, "I'm going to head home to eat dinner then crash." "Ok," said Firestar. "I'll come too." "Actually," interrupted Darkmoon, "Firestar I need you to come with me." Firestar changed into his wolf form and followed his leader back to camp as Aqua headed off to the waterfall headed home.

Once Aqua could no longer see Darkmoon and Firestar, she changed her direction and headed toward the Lamardian castle determined to find out what made her necklace so special. After trudging through the dense forest for almost an hour Aqua reached a small cliff that Firestar had took her to a few days ago to see the castle.

Aqua look down at the sharp rocks that awaited her if she fell while climbing down. There was small hand holds and foot hold that help make the decent a little easier. Even though she was hanging by her fingertips and could fall at any given moment, the adrenaline rush was refreshing it pushed her to want to do more dangerous things like this. Aqua's whole life she had played it safe and for once in her life she got to do something a little life threatening and she loved every second of it.
