// I have TWO words for you guys *evil laughs* PLOT TWIST.//

"Look, Alexis, I can explain." The dick in front of me says, holding his hands out in front of him in a placating manner.

"Explain what? The fact you were trash talking me? It doesn't bother me, because A) bullies have no effect on me, they're just trying to compensate for the fact they have tiny brains and tiny egos, and B) I just don't give a fuck about your opinions. They don't matter to me. So please, shove them up your asses and get the hell out of my house."

All the girls gasp in shock at my swearing, and the one in the green dress looks absolutely disgusted with me, and opens her mouth to voice it.

"You feral little creature. You've been home all of 2 months and think you have the right to boss around Miami's elite? Also add on the fact you have zero manners." She hisses, noticing our little gathering was starting to make a scene.

I just look her in the eye and smile at her, feeling Ivan walk up behind me, wrap his arms around my waist and rest his chin on my shoulder, also looking at the cow in front of me.

"I'd say it was nice to meet you again Izzy, but that would be lying." Ivan tells her, making her face colour in fury at the insult.

"You're little pet needs to be put on a leash." She snaps, taking a step forward.

"How about I put a muzzle on you and then who knows, I might even put a leash on you to walk you if you're a good girl." I drawl out before Ivan can respond.

"Why, you little bitch." She snarls out, her hand twitching at her side.

I almost giggle in glee at watching her resist trying to hit me, and me being the queen of hell that I am, I keep pushing her, waiting, waiting for her to strike me so I can do something to actually make this ball a little fun.

Afterall, what's life without a little drama?

"Uh, no honey, that would be you." I tell her, leaning back against Ivan and settling my arms on top of his and linking my fingers with him.

She hisses at me and goes to launch herself at my, but mr. perv-jock-guy grabs her around the waist and pulls her against him, making sure it looked almost casual enough for people to not suspect that he just saved his girlfriend's life by not letting her attack his gang leaders daughter.

"I think it's time you and your friends leave, Jake." My father pipes up from behind me and Ivan, and the guy, Jake, looks over our shoulders at my father, nods his head and grabs Izzy's hand.

Together, along with their pack of preening peacocks and jocks, they stalk out of the ballroom and are guided out of our house.

Ivan and I turn around to face my father and he stands there, chuckling and shaking his head at me.

"My, my. Daughter, you do have a rather nasty tongue on you. Your mother would be impressed."

"My mother would be? Or would have been?" I say stiffly, noticing the slight slip of words in what he'd just said, making my suspicions grow all the more.

He shifts somewhat uncomfortably before confirming what I'd been growing to believe over the last two weeks.

"You're mother isn't dead. In fact, she's here. And has been for 2 years, the boys already know, but I made them swear not to tell you until it was right." He tells me quietly and I freeze.

2 years.

They'd known she'd been alive and well for 2 whole damn fucking years and they never once considered to tell me before now.

"How dare you." I snarl softly.

"How dare you keep this from me. She's my mother. I was 10 years old. I needed her more then you did, more then the boys did. They had you to explain the workings of becoming a man to them, to show them how to act, look after themselves. I had no-one to show me. No-one to tell me it was going to be alright when I woke up with my sheets covered in blood. No one to guide me through that whole process. No-one. And when that someone comes back, you hide it from me?" My voice cracks and I will myself not to cry in front of all these people.

"Alexis, please." My father begs, taking a step towards me, arms outstretched as if to hug me, but I step back into Ivan's warm body.

"No. Don't you dare come near me." I tell him as tears begin to become a real threat.

"Девочка, пожалуйста." Papa whispers in Russian, reaching out a hand to stroke my arm, but I flinch away, my heart breaking at the betrayal of the one man I should have always been able to trust, to count on.

I turn away from him, Ivan, the dance and try to calmly walk out of the ballroom, choking back sobs and tears as I thank people on my way out for the birthday wishes and for coming.

Finally reaching the privacy of the upstairs living quarters I dash down the hallways to my room and slam the door shut, making sure the lock was firmly in place before letting the tears and sobs free.

Now I had no one.

This thought well and truly breaks me, and try as I might fight it, I once again dash into the bathroom, start the water and walk into my wardrobe, where I slowly pull the pins out of my hair, letting it tumble in loose curls down my back, before stepping out of my shoes and dress and undergarments before walking back into the bathroom, tears still streaming down my face as I collapse to the bottom of the shower, willing myself to not reach for the blade.

Don't reach for it.

Don't you dare.

Don't.

Every thought in my mind slips away with the tears and blood as I watch the red drawn from pain combine with the clear, pure water and wash away.

Blood is thicker then water.

Then why is it so easy for it to mingle, mix, until it becomes unbalanced, lost as to where it should go in life?

Lost like me.
