Chapter 7

Morning comes quicker than I hoped I really didn't want to go to school I was nervous I didn't like meeting new people and was not going to enjoy being the new kid in school I hate when people stare at me.

After I get dressed for school I go downstairs to the kitchen Aunt Lora is already awake and drinking coffee.

"Good morning" she greats me

"Morning" I give her a small smile as I pour myself a cup of coffee

"Are you excited for your first day of school" I shrug in response she should know that I wouldn't be

"It's going to be fine just be yourself and try to talk to atleast one person today" she smiles at me

"Okay. What time do you have to be at work?" I ask her

She looks at her watch on her wrist "now I gotta go love you" she grabs her purse and runs out the door

I take a big gulp of my coffee and then put my mug in the sink I hear footsteps it must be aunt Lora she probably forgot something.

"Forget something?" I ask but she doesn't answer but I hear movement "I can hear you you know" but still nobody answers I turn around but don't see anything i look up at the clock and see the time I need to get going or I'm going to be late its a old house the noises was probably the house settling or atleast that what aunt Lora would tell me

I start walking to the new school it only took me about 10 mins but it was nice out so I didn't mind.

I walk up to the entrance of the school the school isn't too big, there's some kid out front by the stairs talking I keep walking not looking up as I passed them they probably didn't notice me anyway.

I walk to the office a nice looking old lady with gray hair and cat eyes glasses looked up at me.

"hello are you new?" She asked

"Yes ma'am" I answer her

"I thought so I know every kid in here it's a small school" I give her a smile in response I don't know what to say

"What's your name?" She asks me

"Jessica Taylor" I tell

"O yes here is your schedule I hope you have a great first day and if you need anything let me know" she smiles

"Thank you" I grab the schedule and make my way to my first class

I walk up to the door I really don't want to go in, I take a deep breath and put my hand on the knob and open the door as soon as Ive opened it and walk in every eye is on me like they've never seen a new person in there school before.

"Hello you must be Jessica Taylor" I look at the board to see his name is Mr. McDonald

"Yes sir" I answer, i look down at my feet I can't take every eye on me

"Why don't you take a seat" he tells me I look up and notice a empty chair next to a girl who's looking at me like I'm some disgusting bug.
I sit beside her

I feel people look at me every once in awhile but I just continue to look straight ahead I hear the bell ring everyone starts to pack up there things the girl next to me quickly leaves probably fearing I'll try to talk to her.

I feel a tap on my shoulder which makes me jump, I turn around and see a guy he has brown hair and brown eyes and a nice smile I'm sure all the girls go crazy for him here.

"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you" he chuckles

"You didn't" I tell him

"I'm Eli Roberts nice to meet you Jessica" he puts his hand out I shake it

"You can call me Jess" I give him a small smile

"Okay Jess" he smiles at me, I nod in response

"I actually saw you at the pizza polar the other night" I have to think for a second and then I remember he was the boy I saw with all those teenagers sitting at that booth he caught me staring

"O yeah" I try not to blush

"Well I better get going but I'll see you later" he smiles and walks out

Finally it's lunch I debating if I just want to go eat in the library but as I grab my tray of food I see that guy Eli waving at me to come join him and his friends I really would rather eat by myself but that would be rude to ignore him especially when we have made Eye contact so i make myself walk to their table it's mostly jocks and a couple cheerleaders.

"Hi" I say awkwardly as I reach there table Eli pats the seat next to him

"This is Jess she's new" Eli tell them as I sit down

"Well duh we've never had a new student before so of course we know she's new everyone been talking about it all day" one of the girls say I gulp thinking about everyone talking about me

"I'm Jeff" the guy sitting in front of me says with a smirk

"Hi" I say

"Mary" the next girl next to him says she has jet black hair she kinda looks like Snow White
"And that's kate" Mary points at the girl who told me everyone was talking about me she's on her phone texting but gives me a wave without looking at me "And over there at the couple who are making out while we are eating is teddy and joy" Mary says

"Nice to meet you guys" i smile a small smile

"Where you from?" The Jeff guys asks

"Nevada" I tell them

"I've been there a couple of times it's beautiful" Mary says

"Why did you move here" Eli asks I don't blame him but I don't really like to talk about it

"Just needing a fresh start" I shrug like its no big deal they don't question it which I'm grateful for I don't want to talk about my personal life

"Well your going to love it here" Mary tells me she seems nice and really friendly

"I hope so" I say

"Well you've already made friends" Eli nudges my shoulder

I smile a little I hope there not just saying that to be nice.
