"I had fun" Mary says the next morning
"I couldn't sleep every single noise Id hear I kept thinking that boy was going to be at the end of the bed ready to murder me" Kate shivers I'm just glad Luke downstairs
"And now you know there's nothing to be scared about" Mary says trying to look at the bright side
"Thanks for coming I had fun" I say truthfully
"We did too" Mary says giving me a hug
"Bye" Kate says walking to the car
"See you Monday" Mary says before she drives away
"Luke you can come up now" I open the basement door and tell him
After a couple of minutes he comes upstairs
"Did they just leave?" He asks
"Yeah"
"So did you have fun?" He smirks
"Yeah I did actually"
"I'm glad" he smiles
"Atleast maybe people will stop being so scared of the house now" I say
"Yeah I hope so" he says looking at his feet
"Sorry you had to stay in the basement most of the time" I tell him
"It's okay I'd rather be down there than hear you girls say over and over again how hot Channeling Tatum is" he rolls his eyes playfully
I try not to laugh "have you seen Channing Tatum"
"So are those the people you hangout with at school?" Luke asks
"Yeah there's other people that sit at the table with us but I've never really talked to them"
"so uh do you like that guy Eli" Luke asks as he scratches the back of his neck almost like he's uncomfortable
"He's nice" I shrug
"That's it?"
"He's nice and sweet" I don't know what he wants me to say
He just nod
"What?" I ask confused
