Advantages of small parts

Sometimes if you don't get the part you want you suddenly feel like Anakin Skywalker going to the dark side. Usually we tend to want larger parts. Sometimes smaller parts have their advantages.

First of all you can develop your character in a way you want. Most large parts have an obvious way they should be portrayed. These parts have little room for originality. Dorothy is pretty strait forward but we don't know the munchkin teacher's habits and lifestyle. We don't know her backstory.

You have more time. When you have less lines to memorize you have more time to work on choreography, physical aspects of the character (ex. The walk, reactions).

You aren't as rushed. EVERYONE seems to need the leads in every place at once. If you have a small part it is much less stressful.

Don't feel sad if you don't get a large part. There are good things. If you are in sad because you want to get paid then why in the world are you acting instead of doing tech? That's where the money is.

If you guys have any suggestions for chapters feel free to comment them any time.

All the world's a stage and with that I end this page.
