Chapter 8 : Ditching

Jayden's POV

Scaring Avery would be the most fun thing I ever done through out the year. She may act tough but her emerald green eyes shows otherwise. Her eyes showed fear and broken. Those eyes that made my heart rate up when I bumped into her.

DISCLAIMER: Okay, just because I like her eyes doesn't mean I like her people.

What should my revenge be? I have no idea. Maybe I don't even want to have a revenge. Probably just tease her until she's annoyed and transfer. Yeah, that should do it. We only met yesterday and something weird just happened. Well, nice one Jayden. After school today, my mind keep chunting one name.

Avery.

She isn't one to wear slutty clothes or even a dress. She always wear jeans and a blouse. She has a wall that she built up and no one has ever been able to break it. Like, myself. Everyone has a past but not everyone's past is a teribble one. They just need someone to break their wall and it will make them smile.
Wait, why am I thinking about her?

After two weeks of teasing, annoying my little nerd, I feel odd. She doesn't seem to hate it, instead she will always laugh and full of smiles.
Good then, at least she doesn't despise me.
I saw her feeling bored in Math class today. I have an idea. However, she needs to do one thing.

She did what I want her to do. She ask the teacher's permission to go to the washroom. Great now is my chance. I went to ask the teacher too and she let me go.

I caught up with Avery and her eyes widen.

"What are you doing?"

"Wanna ditch? It's boring," I asked.

"Hmm. How about no?" She asked.

"You don't want to get in trouble for what happened two weeks ago do you? I still haven't done anything nerd. If you go with me, I may reconsider it," I said.

"Why me?" She asked.

"Itzliddat. So you in?" I asked in monotone.

"Fine. After this class is over though. Why am I considering this, I am also confused," She said.

After math class.

We meet up at the school parking lot without the teacher seeing. She was there and I grabbed her arm. We ran to my bike and I rush her to hop in my bike but she has horiffied look on her face.

"NO! Not a bike please?" She plead.

"Well, there is no other choice. Get on it," I said.

"No," She begged.

I lift her up off the ground and make her sit on the bike. She glared at me and tried to gett off the bike but I put on the helmet before she can.

"When I go to the right you go to the right too. But the whole time, try to lean on me. Okay?" I said.

She gave me a slight nod and I started the engine.

She screamed at the top of her lungs, " I AM GOING TO KILL YOU JAYDEN!"

Avery's POV

I can't open my eyes. But being the curious me I opened it. It's much better, I cannot belive that I was worried about riding a bike. It makes me feel like I am free and just get my mind off my past. Everyday, I never sleep in peace. I was glad I ditched. I won't get in trouble with my parents anyway as I don't have any. I miss my mom. I just wish that she just come back to life and when I come home she will reprimand me for ditching. I miss those times.

We stopped at a cafe.

"Thanks for the ride! I love it," I said and hugged him. He seem stunned but wrap his arms around me after.

"I know you will love it,"

He said and I can imagine him putting on his smirk now. I get off because it was getting awkward. We get inside and I already can smell the aroma of coffee. Most people hate coffee but I am obsessed. Any coffee but it has to have milk. We chose the table nearest to the window.

~Now this is awkard~

"Why did you bring me here?" I said breaking the silence.

"I love coming here when I ditch school. It's so calming help me get away from reality," He replied while looking at the window.

I couldn't deny that. It is calming and nice. Magazines at the rack organised and it's has a homey feeling.

"I am thinking how to get back at you nerd," Jayden says while smirking.

I gulped.

"You said you won't,"

"I said I will reconsider. However, getting revenge at you would be fine,"

Before I can say anything, the waitress came to take our order.

After getting our drinks and scare away at the waitress for gawking at Jayden, we just sat in silence.

"You have something on your lips," He said.

"Where?" I keep touching my lips to wipe the thing off but didn't seem that it worked when his thumb contact with it. We started into each other's eyes. His eyes flicked to my lips and he leaned closer.

IS HE GOING TO KISS ME?!

BWAHAHAHAA CLIFFHANGER TO END IT ALL!
