Next day

Josh's POV

I walked to school again hoping to see Tyler on the way. I didn't. As I approach the school, I see Tyler sitting under a tree.

"Hey Ty" I say sitting down next to him.
"Hi Josh" he mumbles.
"What's wrong TyGuy?" I ask.
"Nothing" he says quietly, pulling his sleeves down.

I catch a glimpse of a cut that looks like it's still really fresh.

"Tyler, do you want to talk about it?" I ask carefully.
He takes a deep breath, "Do you genuinely like me, Josh, or this is another one of your quests for a booty call?"

I don't even know myself what I feel for Tyler, it's mostly a fine line between just wanting sex and actual feelings.

"I-I don't know, I've never felt like this about anyone." I finally manage to stutter out.

He looks at me with tears in his eyes, and runs away, his skirt swaying with each step.

What have I done?

I start walking to my first class. On the way, I see Gerard making out with some chick against the lockers. I chuckle to myself and keep going. After my first few classes I go to lunch and look for Tyler. I walk over to the table where his friends are sitting at. The blonde one looks at me with a startled look.

"Have you guys seen Tyler?" I ask, worry in my voice.
"Sorry Josh we haven't seen him."
"Where is he then?"
"You can go check the music room. He might be in there." She sighs and looks at the kid with the big forehead.
"Ok" I say.

I quickly rush out of the lunch room and go to the music room. As I near the door, I hear soft singing and a piano playing in the background coming from the other side. I wait and listen to what the voice is singing.

"We all are stranger creatures than when we all started out as kids,
Culture forbids,
We have romantic fantasies about what dying truly is,
Fall off the grid.

We live for the night's decor,
It reveals what we dream of.

I know there's someone at the door,
They called for help, of this I'm sure,
But do I want to say goodbye to all the glowing eyes,
I'm holding on to what I know,
And what I know, I must let go,
But I would rather play a song for the eyes to sing along.

We all know somebody who knows somebody who's doing great,
I know some people who know people who are flying straight,
But I'll kindly enter into rooms of depression,
While ceiling fans and idle hands will take my life again.

We live for the night's decor,
It reveals what we dream of.

I know there's someone at the door,
They called for help, of this I'm sure,
But do I want to say goodbye to all the glowing eyes,
I'm holding on to what I know,
And what I know, I must let go,
But I would rather play a song for the eyes to sing along.

This room is far too dark for us to stay around,
Redemption's not that far and darkness is going down.

This room is far too dark for us to stay around,
Redemption's not that far and darkness is going down.

I'm holding on to what I know,
And what I know, I must let go,
But I would rather play a song for the eyes to sing along
For the eyes to sing along

Make them stop
Make them stop
Make them stop
Make them stop
Make them stop."

When he ends the song I'm leaning against the door way, smiling. When he finally sees me, he comes running and envelopes me in his arms. I'm startled at first but I close my arms around him.

A/N: hey guys it would really help me if you could give me feed back on my story! That would really help a lot thanks!
