After the strangely loving and thoughtful talk at school we went to the younger kids school to get them and walked home. Evan taking turns between riding on all our shoulders. When we arrived back at the house we were all surprised to see Monica and Jerry sitting in the kitchen with giant grins on their faces. All of us muttered out hellos, though we couldn't hide out confused faces. They usually didn't get home from work or shopping till 4 or 5.
"Cassie we have some good news" Monica told me smiling ear to ear. "Your gonna get your cast off today!"
At the doctors I sat in the room with Monica, the boys being told to sit in the waiting room, and waited for the man to come in and get rid of this thing.
After waiting nearly half an hour she walked in, smiling and letting out a sigh. "So Cassie you ready to get rid of that cast?"
