Two years later;

The same nightmare

"Five....chosen....." I made my way through the fog, stepping into wet mist.

The eerie, soft voice seemed to be closer now, combined with other whispers, like leaves rustling. My hair rose up on my neck.

Suddenly, I felt cold fingers brush down my neck and a raspy whisper in my ear, "SEEKER... "

I jolted up with a gasp, clutching my sheets frantically.

My heart was pounding, a sheen of sweat coated my forehead.

I slowed my breathing, biting my lip hard.

Calm down...it was just a dream...

It was already fading away, I finally calmed myself down, sitting still in my bed in silence, enveloped in darkness.

I guessed it to be around 2 A.M.

Gripping my sheet, I padded off my bed to the door.

I walked across the wooden floor to Travis's bedroom.

Pushing it open a bit, I slid inside.
Without further delay, I had snuggled in bed beside him.

He cracked one eye open, sleepily mumbling, "Whas' wrong?.."

I just snuggled in his back more without responding.

He turned around slowly and wrapped his arms around me, kissing my forehead and drifting into sleep again. I breathed his comforting scent in, feeling woozy myself too.

This is all I need.

Four years later;

Racing through the undergrowth, my mind was buzzing like never before...

I'd just woken up, went down as usual, in black jeans with the ends rolled up, a grey tee and ankle socks.

Travis, standing in front of the breakfast table, greeted me with a smile, his warm brown eyes glinting with mischief. I grinned back at him, sliding in my seat at the table.

"So, what's in breakfast today?"

"Hm well let's see...cheese and chicken sandwiches and mango milk shake....yummo." he grinned.

I laughed, grabbed a sandwich and chowed it down washing it down with the milkshake.

"You eat too fast!" He reproved.

I rolled my eyes as I passed him, putting my dishes in the sink.

"Oh come on, it's okay Trav!"

He playfully grabbed me, tickling my sides, with me wriggling and laughing helplessly. "I'LL THROW UP ON YOUR F-..!" He released me quickly, sticking his tongue out. I pushed him playfully, skipping towards the stairs again.

"Be careful oye," he called out from where he stood at the sink, holding a plate, as I promptly slipped on the stairs.

"Ow! Did you have to distract me?" I whined.
