I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose in frustration. Why did he have to be so stubborn?
“Bofur. Love. Please.”
“No I'm not doing it.”
I sighed again, sitting down on one of the nearby seats, placing a hand on my slightly swollen stomach. I was 2 months pregnant, and my husband was being a pain and not wishing to be the one to tell my brothers of the child we were expecting.
“Why won't you do it Bofur? It's good news, amazing news even. So why won't you tell Dwalin and Balin? Are you ashamed?”
His eyes widened and he ran over to me, kneeling down beside the chair, taking my hand in his.
“No no no. I’m not ashamed of you or our child. It’s just… well... err... your brothers kind of scare me.”
A small laugh escaped my lips when I heard his excuse. I took both his hands in mine and placed them on my belly, a warm smile creeping onto his face.
“Now come on, where's that brave dwarf that fought a dragon hmm? I’m sure he can handle my brothers.”
Smiling, he pressed a kiss against my forehead then one on my clothed belly, standing up and walking towards the door, he turned and looked back at me.
“You’re right. I shall go tell them now. I shouldn’t be scared of sharing this information anymore.”
I let out a laugh as he ran out the door, basically skipping down the corridors. Rolling my eyes in amusement I stood, picking my shawl up and putting it on, I walked out the door after my excitable husband.

As I walked down the corridor, I heard yelling coming from one of the rooms. Following my instincts, I opened the door. A smile made its way onto my lips as I looked at the sight, Dwalin had wrapped Bofur up in a huge hug as Balin was leant against a table and was quickly wiping his eyes, removing the forming tears.
“You told them then?”
All three sets of eyes turned to look at me, both Balin and Dwalin running straight towards me, wrapping me in a large hug. I laughed and held my hand out for Bofur to take, who seemed to hesitate at the offer.
“Bofur love. If marrying me didn’t give you enough reason to join in on the family hug then I would have thought us having a child would.”
He smiled and joined in, well until Dwalin shoved him off, yelling about how if he ever hurt me or the child he will have to deal with a very angry Dwalin. I sighed in content as I watched the scene unfold knowing that Bofur would never hurt me and knowing that my life couldn’t get any better.
