                              Chapter 11

Ryan has a choice to make now he could either let his best friend die the man that took him in at his lowest and made him who he is today a best friend that’s been just like a brother to him or he could die for him but with him comes Katherine. Yes Ethan could probably protect Katherine but what if they have an inside man that could get to her that no one knows about. He just wants Katherine to be safe even if that means he’s not.

“Alright alright ill help you” Ryan says barely above a whisper to Dom who’s standing against the wall.

“Good choice” He says before laughing and dialing Chris.

Katherine stares out the window not able to get Ryan off her mind wondering what kind of torture he’s going through. Before she can think to long the door is opening once again and Ethan is back.

“I have Nate on it ok just please try and relax….We will find him I promise Kat…Katherine” Ethan says having to swallow his pride and do what she asks because he loves her.

Ethan knows he made a huge mistake the day he let Katherine walk out of his life and in return not only did he lose her but he lost his best friend. He knows deep down that he was just using Vanessa to distract him from his pain of losing Katherine.

“I am so sorry Kat I never meant to hurt you I-“Ethan starts but before he can finish Katherine reaches up and cups his face gently with her hand.

“I know Ethan but that doesn’t mean you didn’t hurt me and if you ever plan on fixing things you need to just give me time ok” She says before pulling her hand back and looking away blinking a few times to hide the tears threatening to flow.

“If time is what you want then I will give it to you just please don’t do anything reckless ill find him and when I do I promise ill kill the bastards that dared to touch you and my unborn child” Ethan says to her as he reaches up ad slowly grasps her chin and turns her to face him.

Ryan stares out the window as he tries to think of some way to hint to Ethan that he has no choice but to help Chris. A knock pulls Ryan from his thoughts and he pulls his suit jacket tighter around him and fastens the button to keep it closed before turning around and staring at the woman who has entered the room.

“Hello Ryan….im Vanessa or better known as the woman that has been keeping Ethan Company ever since he got rid of that whore”. Vanessa says with a wicked smile.

Ryan glares at her and starts to charge her wanting to throttle her for speaking about Kat like that but Chris jumps in between them just in the nick of time.

“Easy Ryan I can’t have you killing her now can I? After all she is your best friends new woman you wouldn’t want him sad would you?” Chris says with a laugh making Ryan clench his jaw. There is nothing Ryan wants more then to see Chris chocking on his own blood.
