Sometimes when I write, I become so excited to reach the next line in the story that I feel almost feverish. I get so excited that it becomes hard to concentrate. I get too "pumped up." When these excitement levels reach a certain point, I find it hard to work. I just sort of pace around and think over and over again about the story.

Everyone has their eccentricities. These are all totally fine, but if you find you're getting distracted, frustrated, or too excited when you're writing, try going someplace else and going into neutral. Sit down, close you eyes, and try not to think about anything. Don't wrestle with your thoughts, though. Simply acknowledge them, then allow them to pass by. Don't chase your thoughts, nor try to stop them altogether. Balance yourself. Focus on breathing in and out. Here is a helpful mantra I learned for each breath, which is repeatable:

Breath in: "In"
Breath out: "Out"
Breath in: "Deep"
Breath out: "Slow"
Breath in: "Calm"
Breath out: "Ease"
Breath in: "Smile"
Breath out: "Release"

This can be helpful for dealing with people on Wattpad, too. We went over some more active tips for dealing with people, but mediation is also a good tactic for anytime you too angry or too excited. Before replying in anger, for instance, take twenty minutes away from the screen and clear your head.

Writing is best when you're basically calm, and for me nothing beats walking or sitting meditation. It's healthy and helps you focus!
