Well this is just great.

My boss, Taskmaster, told me to go after this little band of superheroes supposedly led by Spiderman himself.

You know, as far as lame heroes go, he's pretty cool.

Of course, if my boss heard that, well...let's just say I wouldn't be in much of a happy place.

Dead. I'd be dead. Was that..not clear? Okay sorry, I'll specify next time.

So anyway, I'm stalking that Spiderman team right now. None of them seem very special or unique. Except one...

His superhero name is Iron Fist, but I don't know his true identity. Taskmaster won't tell me either. So either he doesn't know, or he does and just won't tell me for some weird reason.

I don't even notice the S.H.I.E.L.D. alarm systems sounding off, I was so into staring at Iron Fist.

What? I was..analyzing.

Analyzing those muscles. Wowza! 😏

Wait!...am I..falling in..l-love?!?!

No! Nonononononononono!! A villain like me cannot fall in love with a hero like him. Just doesn't happen.

I run to the roof of the helicarrier and prepare to jump off and fly back to Taskmaster's HQ (yes I can fly. Shouldn't you know this already?! I mean you are me after all!), but a voice stops me.

"Wait! (V/n)!"

I turn around to see Spiderman holding a hand out to me.

"Why don't you join us? Become a hero?"

I pause for a second, thinking about what Taskmaster had told me.

'Never trust anyone, (v/n). Ever. It only gets you into trouble.'

So...does that mean I shouldn't trust him either? If I can't trust my own boss, then how can I trust anyone? But then again, I've never known Spidey to go back on his word..

"I don't know..I-" I freeze. If I join them, I'll be out from under the (rather ironic) iron fist of Taskmaster. Plus, I'll be able to get to personally know Iron Fist...maybe joining them wouldn't be such a bad idea after all.

"Okay!" I smile enthusiastically. "I'm in!"

"Great!" Spiderman beams under his mask, and we all huddle into a group hug. (We've been fighting each other for quite a while now, so we know each other formally enough for this to not be weird.)

This should get fun...😏
