Summerween was just around the corner and you still had no idea what you were going to be. Mabel was having a Summerween party at the Mystery Shack where costumes were required, and the idea of rushing to get a cool costume seemed much too difficult.

However, you had plenty of time to get one with how early Mabel handed out invitations. It was only your laziness that put it off.

Monty already had his costume. He was always the same thing every Halloween (or, Summerween, in this case): a vampire. And you weren't so sure about what it was with vampire Monty, but he definitely knew how to put hot vampires to shame. Though, you were sure he was a vampire every year because he was too lazy to do something new each time rather than looking good every time he did it.

You scrolled through costume ideas, listening to the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack, feeling more and more sad as the songs dragged on. Monty was out buying fake blood and vampire teeth to complete his costume, and Bill was in the kitchen, presumably eating everything he could get his hands on.

Bill came in the living room, eating right out of the box of Lucky Charms. "How come you look so upset, Princess?" He asked, plopping down on the couch beside you.

"Phantom of the Opera."

"What?"

"It just makes me sad, you know?" You said, shrugging slightly. "Everyone saw him as a monster, but The Phantom loved her so much, and even though he had a strange way of expressing it, that was all he knew. And he was trying so hard to have her love him because he felt closer to her than anyone else in the world. And he was so happy when she said she would marry him."

Bill frowned. "Why does that make you sad? Isn't that a good thing?"

"Because she lied. And The Phantom never got Christine and she left him for Raoul. Then he just died all alone."

"So he never got Christine?" Bill asked, looking puzzled.

You nodded. "But really, who could blame her? He was very problematic. I mean, he literally kidnapped her and tried to force her to love him. Besides, the only reason why she agreed to marry him in the first place was because he was threatening to kill Raoul."

Bill was quiet for a long time, but you hardly noticed, as you had already picked a new album to listen to and switched tabs back to your costume shopping. "Hey, should I be a cat?" You questioned. "Actually, no..."

"Be a princess!" Bill said, suddenly returning back to his very persistent, annoying self. "And I can be your prince and we can be in love~"

You glanced at him out of the corner of your eyes, trying to ignore the blush forming on your cheeks. Hastily, you cleared your throat. "Um... If I don't figure out what I can be by the end of tonight, we might be able to do that. But... I mean..."

"What?" Bill asked, smiling knowingly.

"I'll most likely find something by then."

"Then you'll have to go through all the hassle for finding something for me. And, be honest, Princess. Do you really wanna look for two costumes? C'mon! It's two birds with one stone!"

Your blush intensified, realising that if you were to comply, Bill would be all too satisfied and be all over you the whole night long. Although, the offer did seem like an easy way out. Still, you scrolled through the costume ideas, trying to hide the scarlet dusted on your cheeks.
