After a week in Orlando then another in Italy we came home feeling relaxed. We got to see a whole new side of dani out there and it was her being a kid for once instead of the level headed mature adult she's become. We actually got to see her laughing and having a good time out there which was very well needed, but I'm happy to be back home with my girls. As much as I loved being with the entire family, I'm loving the quiet time with my girls even more
The sound of laughter filled our bedroom as Tali played with her little sister giggling along with her as the game of peekaboo went into it's first hour. The girls seemed to have a blast of energy that's keeping them from nap time, but I didn't mind spending the extra few hours entertaining them
Ziva: tateleh you are obviously tired. How about you climb in bed with your Abba and me?
Tali: I want to play more, no tired
Ziva: yes your tired come here princess
Tali obeyed her mother's instructions and climbed into the bed only to start bouncing up and down giggling as Ziva tried calming her

Tali: daddy come bounce with me
"Daddy would love to but mommy's right, your tired" I told her as she sat down on the bed with the sweetest smile on her face

Tali: daddy I had lots of fun today. Dani got me candy and ice cream and cake
"No wonder your so energetic today, you had daddy thinking he's getting too old to keep up with you, but now I know that's impossible. Since your not sleepy how about a movie. I'm thinking the little mermaid or the princess and the frog. Your pick" I told her
Tali: mermaid
"Good choice" I told her as I set up the movie. Her and Caitlin laid in between Ziva and me as we watched the little mermaid for the millionth time. My girls seemed to have got my love of movies because it's our favorite family activity. Within the first half of the movie both kate and tali were fast asleep to their mother's pleasure
Ziva: thank goodness their asleep. I'm really not feeling too great today
"Anything I can help with?" I asked "I feel like something's weighing on your mind" I finally told her
Ziva: I've been thinking a lot about our family. Shmeil called me a few days ago and said he's sick. I want to be there for him, take care of him but he's all the way in Israel
"He could come and stay with us for a while if that's what you want. We have the space and I love the guy, he's family" I assured her
Ziva: he's too weak to travel so far. He wants me to come out there with him, but I know your back at work tomorrow and Tali's in school. I don't know what to do
"We'll go spend time with Shmeil, as long as it takes for the man of steel to get better. Don't worry about my job or Tali's preschool."
Ziva: I didn't know if you'd want the girls back in Israel after everything that's happened. I didn't think that was an option
"That's where their mother came from, I wouldn't keep them away. I'll book our flights then talk with Jen and boss." I assured her noticing the tears in her eyes as she looked away "Zi what's wrong?"
Ziva: I just don't want to loose him, he's not doing very well
I walked over to her side of the bed being careful not to wake our sleeping girls and held her in my arms. I couldn't promise he'd be okay, although shmeil's strong he's still at the same time more fragile than the rest of us "I wish there was something I could say to make things better. I know how much he means to you" I said as she lifted her head from my chest
Ziva: you being here with me is more than enough. For a long time he was all I had, but now there's you and the girls. I've got senior and our NCIS family
"And you will always have us, senior's actually been wanting to spend more time with us so I'm thinking the five of us spend some time in tel Aviv together. He'll love it and I know Tali will too. We'll stay for as long as shmeil needs us and hopefully when he's better he can come stay with us" I offered
Ziva: I'd really like that. I don't know what I did to deserve you, but I'm glad I've got you
"I'm the lucky one in this situation, you've made me happier than I've ever been and the love I have for you is never ending. I have some calls to make and some bags to pack, you just stay here with the girls and relax a little" I left a kiss on her forehead before starting to repack our bags. When I spoke with senior he was more than happy to join us and after speaking with boss and Jen they were very understanding as to why I needed to take more time off. I know we might be gone a while, but it's worth it because family comes first. Always have and always will
