MONDAY
10:52 AMKevin: And they got mad at you?
Sandra: no not really
(2)Sandra: I explained to them that you didn't even step foot inside the house and that you only wanted to get some notes back.
What my parents did want though was to meet Kevin. Specifically my mom. Raina made sure they got the hint that he was something other than my friend and after the longest conversation of my life I had convince them that he was just a friend.
My mom didn't buy it. My dad took my phone away which was absolutely stupid but it seemed he had no other resort since I rarely ever get in trouble. Him taking my phone- and my laptop- away for the weekend resided in me not talking to Kevin about what happened until now.
Kevin: and you didnt rat on ur sister?
Sandra: I didn't have the heart to tbh
Kevin: wow #sisteroftheyearaward
Sandra: yeah, yeah, now shut up and let me focus
I slid my phone back in my pocket, trying to finish the work my teacher left out for us when I heard my phone buzz again, an impulse telling me to check it again.
I did.
Kevin: i'm sorry I'm causing trouble
Sandra: no it's okay
(2)Sandra: Plus I knew Raina would have pegged me for something else
Kevin: thank god I don't have siblings
Sandra: shut up
Kevin: i love it when you give me affection
Sandra: pay attention in class
Kevin: I'm bored
Sandra: Me and you both
Kevin: Meet me in the caf
Sandra: why
Kevin: I know you have a supply
Sandra: how tf do you know that
Kevin: I passed by your class when I went to the bathroom earlier
(2) Kevin: did you get marked present?
Sandra: yeah
Kevin: then ask to go to the bathroom for one of the lady emergencies and grab your stuff and don't come back
I stared at my phone screen for a second. I looked up to the front of the class. While everyone was talking or finishing up the assignment that was due tomorrow, the supply teacher, who was a guy by the way, was tapping away at his phone.
I reread Kevin's text, making a face.
Sandra: Lady emergencies?
Kevin: you know what I meant
I rolled my eyes, putting my stuff in my bag before slinging my backpack on. Kevin's lucky I took drama.
Five minutes later, I found Kevin in the caf, sitting on a table. There was like ten other people in here as well, spread out probably on a spare.
